We have traditionally served the South East of England and London – but traditions change and we are pleased to now serve Clients from Biggin Hill to Birmingham, from Portsmouth to Plymouth. The conveyancing service Baker MacDonald provided us was excellent - they were very responsive, professional and good value for money. We were first time buyers in the UK and really appreciated the fact that Chris and his team took the time to answer all our questions about the process. We were also kept up-to-date with each development which was very reassuring when we were working to a relatively tight deadline. Communication was variable. We were supposed to complete on a Friday and I was told there would be a delay, I asked for an update by email on Tuesday - no reponse, I asked for an update on Thursday - no response, I phoned and was told that Christopher was out of the office all week.

Company response: Unfortunately this particular transaction suffered from a number of complexities such as having multiple Titles and numerous historic documents having to be obtained from the Land Registry, some of which no longer existed. We feel that the Client was kept updated of all progress as and when it occurred, though we appreciate that not every e-mail was replied to, notwithstanding that the Client requested multiple updates after already being informed that she would be informed of progress as it happened.

The services provided was very good and in particular the communication about the progress achieved at each key stage. On the completion day the early contact by phone and regular updates was very re-assuring and extremely helpful.
