Generally speedy in responding to queries and always done in a professional manner and all explained well.Phonecalls often prompted a flood of documents through which left us a little annoyed. Online tracker not regualrly updated.

Company response: Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry some of the documents involved in the start of moving home are long but it is a complicated process and our aim is to make sure you’re fully informed along the way, especially when you have questions. We’re also sorry to hear you feel the case tracker isn’t updated as often as it could be; we’ll make sure we pick up the baton on this for the rest of your transaction.

We’ll also make sure to continue with the speedy responses, professionalism and explanations that you’re happy with; thank you for your compliments on this.

Pretty good - only had to chase every other day or so to keep things moving. Could be a little more proactive, but far from a horror story.

Joshua Broughton, in particular, is a very easy person to deal with, very highly recommended.

We were extremely disappointed in Beaumont Legal, especially after reading good reviews about them on reallymoving.com. They sat on our pre contract information for over 3 weeks and only appeared to do anything after we called them. In the end we called them every day to make sure work was being done on our file, although often we could not get through to our primary contact and on several occassions we called more than 10 times in day and the phone was not answered once. In general there was a lack of response to emails, and indeed our emails did not even seem to be read by our solicitor as he had no knowledge of issues we'd highlighted in emails to him when we spoke on the phone.

In addition to this, we found several errors in the paperwork sent to us; they overlooked when we paid fees to them and demanded them a second time. Crucially they failed to notice that part of our property was not on the land registry plans and it took several weeks and numerous phone calls for this to be sorted.

Company response: Sadly in this case there was an initial delay with the papers being received that was out of our control. We are sorry if the client feels that this was not communicated effectively.

It’s unlikely that someone could call 10 times in a day without getting through unless they continually rang their solicitor's direct number while the solicitor was on annual leave or on a lunch break. In any case, all clients are given alternative contact numbers, including our switchboard number, and there would have been someone available on the solicitor's team or on the switchboard to answer a call or take a message. We also have a request a callback function on our website that people can use for exactly this eventuality.

We are sorry that an administration error resulted in an error on the financial statement and apologise for any convenience. On the point that we “failed to notice” that part of the property was not on the Land Registry plans, this refers to a separate garage which had its own title. We were not informed of the existence of this garage by the seller’s contract or the client. We were only made aware of it when we sent the client the plan to check (which we do to highlight anything we haven’t been informed of). We have no personal knowledge of a property or the extent of the land to be purchased until the plans have been received and approved by the buyer.

We believe it is extremely important that we do everything possible to resolve any issues on a transaction and if we had been aware earlier in the transaction that there were concerns we could, and would, have addressed these sooner

Very competitive quote. Even though they were 195 miles away there was no issues with communication with Nicola and she exceeded our expectations in replying to our questions and in updating us. Excellent service.

Very professional, takes trouble to understand clients' individual needs and tailors advice accordingly. I felt I was listened to (other solicitors I've used just follow the process and ignore specific requests.) It was a very smooth and speedy transaction (5 weeks).
