We were a bit nervous about choosing a firm through a review / reference point like reallymoving - but our experience of Beaumont Legal was first class.

We were twitchy clients - having stepped into an already stressful chain.
Megan has provided exceptionally clear and accurate information and advice. She
has been confident in saying what could and could not happen - and has been
patient when any bad news about timescales etc (caused by others and not by Beaumont) hit - without promising things that could not be delivered.

We really felt throughout that Megan was working for us and had our best
interests in view. Added to her professionalism, she has been good humoured and

People who handled my case are very professional. The email responses are prompt all the time. I received reply normally within 24 hours. The documents attached through email attachments saved lots of time. The team tried using different numbers to inform me and my husband the good news of the completion of the purchase when I am not free to take the call. There is definitely no hidden charges.

I have been really impressed with the service that I received. From making my first enquiry to exchange of contracts took 26 days. As the property was a repossessed property, this was key. Sandra was terrific. On each occasions I emailed I had a response within the hour and was able to contact her on the phone easily.
The website is updated regularly so that you can track the case each day. It removed a lot of the frustration of trying to find out information.

It's the first time I've used a solicitor via an internet site rather than on the high street and I'd definitely recommend Beaumont Legal to others.

Exceeded our expectations.... At 6.30pm we raised a question about needing an indemnity policy for purchasers by email with Sarah Weatherall our conveyancer and she answered it by email from her iPhone that evening. Fantastic service beyond what I expected. A really smooth sale and purchase.

The whole team was superb. The other side in the purchase were dilatory in the extreme and because of that we were caused a great deal of unnecessary stress and worry. Emma asked for a certain document on the 24th June, and constantly after that, but it did not arrive until the 16th September to allow us to exchange, as our furniture van was being loaded, with completion the next day.

They nearly always responded within 24 hours to my emails which was good, but I wouldn't have had to have sent half of them if they had updated the online case tracking for our Sale and Purchase (which has been a real selling point when choosing which company to go with).

On the whole the service was good, although because they are so busy you have to chase for information.

We chose this company as they weren't the cheapest but because they were nearby. Unfortunately the service we got was impersonal, slow and beaurocratic.

Company response: Both aspects of this transaction were completed within four weeks from us receiving the contract package which is not slow for a residential conveyancing transaction with any firm. Conveyancing is a complex process – it’s a legal process which has to be completed carefully to check for issues which could potentially cost a home buyer thousands of pounds.

This transaction was also in a chain, which can cause additional delays waiting for all parties to be ready to proceed. We’re sorry if we didn’t make it clear why each stage needed to be completed and very sorry that you felt the service was impersonal but we were acting in your best legal interests at all times, as we are required to do by our professional body.

The whole process took 13 weeks from 'file opening' to 'completion' despite being told their average duration is 6 - 8 weeks which they would aim for unless I paid extra for the 'expedited service'. We weren't impressed with how long the process took (almost double the amount of time that we were given as an estimate) and how much chasing up we had to do throughout the process.

Maybe mistakenly... we used this firm again immediately following a purchase that fell through on which the vendor pulled out of the sale citing 'That both parties' solicitors are taking too long' as the main reason for pulling out late in the purchase - resulting in us losing well over £1000 in mortgage and survey fees etc.

Company response: Thank you for your comments. Our work on this case could only begin once we had received contract papers from the opposite side and sadly it was 7 weeks before these were sent to us. From this point the process took 6 weeks which, while it may seem frustrating, is not uncommon for conveyancing transactions, especially when there are many parties involved.
