Home Buyers Survey and Report (HBSV)
The surveyor will attend the property for about one to two hours. The report will comment on apparent urgent and significant defects only. This type of survey is suitable for more modern property and property in reasonable condition. This survey type is a lower priced option to a building survey. A valuation and an assessment of the insurance rebuild (reinstatement) sum is included.

Building Survey (Structural Survey) and Report
The surveyor will attend the property for about four hours. The survey and the report will be in greater depth, about 30 pages of text, and the surveyor will concentrate on both apparent major and minor defects and disrepairs and maintenance related issues that could give rise to unexpected expense. The report will include digital photography of the property and of the defects identified which supplements the surveyor's narrative in the report. This type of survey is suitable for older property and properties requiring improvement, updating or repairs. A valuation and insurance rebuild (reinstatement) is not included as standard.
