A survey is the ideal way to ensure peace of mind and takes away much of the uncertainty of buying a house. Depending on your requirements, Arolwg can provide the following types of survey:
Valuation report - this is a simple Valuation Report confirming that the purchase price is reasonable and will only identify major defects at the property.
RICS Homebuyers survey and valuation (HSV) - This is an intermediate level of survey providing an opinion of matters which are urgent or significant and need action or consideration by the buyer. Matters not considered significant or urgent are outside the scope of an HSV and will not be reported although we give useful advice within the report on other aspects noted during the inspection. The standard report includes a Market Valuation and a Reinstatement cost for Buildings Insurance purposes.
Building survey - commonly referred to as a Full or Structural Survey. This survey is the most extensive of the surveys available and is highly recommended for older property, or properties that have been extended or significantly altered. The survey leads to a detailed report, illustrated with photographs, covering the property construction, the condition of various elements, any repairs required and an estimate of the costs of the various recommended repairs.
Asbestos Surveys - Arolwg can also carry out a detailed survey for asbestos in any property.
