Paul Ennis & Company Limited are a Chartered Building Surveyors, which are expert in the design, surveying and construction of buildings and has been in private practice for over ten years. In that time we have built a practice that can complete most tasks in relation to construction and the built environment.
We are based in Liverpool, Preston and Southport operating throughout the Northwest.
Our Building Pathology team brings together some of the unique skills within the practice. We are recognised locally for our technical expertise and highly commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving. Our senior surveyors have a highly-specialised knowledge of building construction, materials and components.
We have established our own Building Survey format which is more expansive and biased toward comment on the construction, materials used, analysis of stability, greater explanation of defects, and compliance with more technical and current requirements.
We also subscribe to The Homebuyer Service that is a standard format and is designed specifically as an economy service. It therefore differs materially from a Building Survey
We also provide structural engineer's reports, these may be required to investigate and advise upon a specific structural defect, such as a crack in brickwork, a bulging wall, or a sagging roof. The survey will establish whether the property is in a structurally sound condition and whether there are any signs of disrepair that require attention.
If you want to change the layout of a building or completely change the building from its present use to an alternative use, then a structural support arrangement will need to be established.
Special Requirements
If there are specific non-standard requirements these can be included in the surveys by specific agreement. Solutions to specific structural problems and more detailed repair schedules are the more usual requests.
