Man & A Van Removals are a small removals company, based in the Swansea area of South Wales, in our infancy relative to some of the bigger firms, but in the 6yrs that we've been running we've built a reputation for quality and value for money. Because our overheads are small, we can offer our customers very competitive prices and 90% of the time, ours will be the cheapest quote you'll get. However that doesn’t stop us offering a good honest service.
Whatever your requirements, we'll do our best to help you. We say we'll move anything "from a shoe box to a full house" and we will, as long as it can be physically moved by manpower, then we will move it. We offer a range of vehicles for the job and are happy to cater for people with unusual requests. We feel that being small is an asset rather than a hindrance, because we can offer a more personalised service. In most cases the person you speak to on the phone will be the same person who does the job. If you have any questions not covered by this site, call us and ask for Julian.
Manpower
When "Man & a Van" was started the basic idea was to provide a "cheap" alternative for people moving home, who were prepared to get actively involved in the process themselves. In other words we provided literally a man and a van. While we are still happy to quote on this basis, we do now offer a service more akin to what people expect from a "proper removals firm". We are also able to move full house contents anywhere on the mainland U.K. or indeed abroad. However, if you only want to move a single item e.g. a washing machine, a wardrobe or a three piece suite, we can help. We can provide 1 man, 2 men, 3, 4, 5, 6,etc men as required.
Misc
As the title suggests, this page is for the more unusual requests. We have been asked in the past to move such odd things as a Conservatory, a Jacuzzi, a full size Snooker Table, a Cement Mixer, Motorbikes, Kitchens, Dog Kennels, Sheds, to Tow Caravans, Trailers, Boats and so many other things I’ve lost count. So if you’re having trouble moving something, give us a try. We will even move small individual items such as Televisions, Personal Computers and Hi-fi Units.

I know they are really quiet cheap compared to everyone else but that's cause they accentually read what needs to be moved. They were very helpful and approachable.

In the end we need to have two moves, with both started in Wales and ended in Surrey. Mark and Craig were very helpful and moved all of our stuff with ease, even thgouh I know the sideboard was very heavy! considering the distance they didn't bat an eye lid and were happy for the business.

They were fantastic. I was a bit concerned as all the arrangements were made by telephone but they arrived on time, loaded everything efficiently and unloaded exactly as required the other end. I would recommend this company to anyone needing to move on a budget.

They turned up at the correct time and were very good with the moving of items out of the house. However the items in the van were not secured. This meant that the fridge freezer fell over, damaging the front and the bike it landed on. When I queried this the company refused responsability and said that as they did not hold insurance they would not re-imburse us for any of the damage. This was clearly neglagence on their behalf and it has cost me instead. I would recommend that this company is not used.

They were efficient and got on with the job. The boxes weren't allocated to the rooms at the new property but all the furniture was allocated to the right rooms. Despite this the service was excellent value for money and there were no breakages or damage.

Started off great but put a lot of heavy boxes in the garage that were told needed to go into the house. Enthusiasm waned towards the end of the day.
On the plus side - managed to book them just 4 days before I needed to move andf the weather was awful so did well to cope with that.
