They were not on the registered panel for my mortgage company. They did not tell this to me at the beginning, so wasted valuable time when trying to buy the house.
Very poor communication generally.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our records show that as soon as we were notified of which lender you were proposing to use, we did inform you that we could not continue to act for you. It would appear that we only acted for you for 5 working days but once again offer our apologies.

I was allways able to get through to the company to discuss aspects of the case. However, other solicitors in the chain were complaining that they could not get through. I was also not sent all information that the solicitor held before the completion - i.e. I would expect a solicitor to give me a comprehensive overview of the house I was purchasing before completion.

this firm was useless Ash never spoke to us and after 3 months of instructing the solicitors no searches were carried out on the property there slowed our sale down by 3 months.
Complete waste of time and money both my wife and i were very upset

WE RECOGNISE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SOME SERVICE ISSUES BUT SINCE SEPTEMBER 2009 WE HAVE RESTRUCTURED OUR OPERATIONS. THE RESULT IS THAT OUR SERVICE STANDARDS HAVE IMPROVED QUITE SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE POINT WHERE 99% OF OUR CLIENTS ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH OUR WORK. They promise that it takes about 8 weeks to complete a case on average in their website but my simple case (first time buyer and the house we are buying was empty) took more than 10 weeks. and She asked for speeding fee after she received all documents from seller's solicitor and her boss ingore my complains. She even did not reply my urgent email to confirm if she received the deposit of £120.000, although she received it already. The whole buying process was so stressful as she did not answer and tell me anything.

We bought 2 properties with ARC. The one rated above was freehold and was completed efficiently last week.
The other is leasehold with Giovanna and has been more protracted including lost time early on when the file was passed to her from Anita as it was leasehold. We hope to excahnge and complete next week.
ARC were good at matching competitor's price but it did not work so well trying to purchase for us the 2 properties in tandem.

the original contract recieved contained incorrect values of purchase tax, i never got tospeak to a solicitor, the whole episode was madness
Fortunately there is a web site that shows customer reviews that warned me off this company and others that you reccomend!

I was pleased with the service provided by my initial representative at this company, Samira Safdar. I could speak to her when I needed to, she responded to my emails in a timely manner and provided a thorough service, BUT...
My case was then passed over to Matthew Dickenson, who seems far too busy to even have time to look into my file. It is impossible to speak to him even though he is at his desk, the call centre operatives cannot answer my queries, so messages are passed to and fro. I have had to send numerous emails to him before I get even one response.
I have also found the administration very slopping, for example the incorrect name was put onto the sale documentation and rather than answer my buyers solicitors questions using information I have already provided, they just forward the queries onto me to answer again. I have had to chase up why my utilities invoice was not in my file even though I sent it to them over a month ago. I have also had to answer the same questions repeatedly even though I have already answered them in numerous emails, hence I do not now feel confident in the services they are providing.
I have also found the whole process far too slow, I sold my house in June and purchased in July, yet in October we still haven't signed contracts. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I really had to push and pester to get anything to happen (which I really hate doing!), Harprit was hard to contact due to nearly always having his phone turned off (my estate agents also said he was "more than usually hard to contact", so that isn't just me being fussy!), and the paperwork was careless (My name, the address and the email address of the vendor's solicitors were all wrong on some of the official communications; I emailed Harprit to correct my name and address, but the address was still not fixed by the final version and I had to go in personally to make and sign hand-written adjustements to the final paperwork - this did not inspire confidence!)

I hope you continue with this service as I am sure you know there is a vast difference in the fees on the high street with solicitor's and other services.
I did not move forward with the purchase of the property I was buying as the surveyor's report was not favorable. I will be returning to Arc solicitors when I find another property.

Cancelled my contract with Arc Solicitors after they managed to lose my file twice and rarely answered the phone or called back when i left messages, i even wrote to the management and asked for an explanation but never received a reply, have just received back a cheque for the deposit i paid them to act for me, but no apology or explanation, i really crap outfit of a company that has cost me both time and money in delaying my property purchase.

The case worker was not very good at communicating what was happening and constant messages needed to be left, the quote was not exact, extra charges added. extra work also difficult to prove. It took 3 months to complete the transaction as a first time buyer who was buying a home with no chain. I had to complain.
