Paul contacted us almost immediately following our online enquiry. He matched our best quote and carried out the survey within a few days. The survey was presented in a professional way but in plain English. We would recommend this company without hesitation. The quality of the service was in our opinion unbeatable and excellent value for money.

Paul carried out the survey (having missed the 1st appt due to 'an office error'), but did not include in the report the Building Regulations that the woodburning stove was in violation of. When questioned the reply was 'you were told to have further inspections carried out prior to Exchange of contracts' Perhaps I am being very naive but I would expect that a building surveyor would have a grasp of Building Regulations relating to residential homes and not just say 'you need to have this checked again' This attitude does not inspire confidence, but as I say I do not know if Paul is alone in not knowlng or including Building Regulations violations in his reports.
Having said that we did receive the report in good time and the price was good, although had the issues with the woodburner been flagged up, rather than included in a 3 line paragraph telling me to get further inspections done, I would have negotiated a discounted sale price, so maybe the Value for Money wasn't so good after all.
Really Moving is a very useful website and one that I will use again, and find a different surveyor.

The customer failed to follow our advice and recommendations to test the fireplaces prior to exchange of contracts and feels that we should be responsible for the consequences.We acquainted the client with the fact that even a full Building Survey does not guarantee the condition of such appliances and was confirmed in the terms of engagement and signed by the client as an accceptance of those terms prior to inspection.
This is the reason why it is important for the client to carefully read the terms of engagement and then follow the advice given within the Survey Report.
We are disappointed that this particular client has failed to follow our advice and is disgruntled as a consequence.

Paul Jackson and his team gave prompt helpful service. Mr Jackson personally called me on the day of the survey at my request to advise me of the outcome. I had some further queries a few days later and he even called me back while he was on holiday. He understood that we were anxious about the survey and was very reassuring. he took time to answer my questions and was very patient.
If you want a company who will deliver fast, efficient and customer friendly service with a very definite personal touch then choose Paul Jackson.

Paul made everything about getting a survey easy. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to share this knowledge in an appropriate manner with me who knew nothing of the industry. His prices could not be beaten and the way he conducts business was impeccable, with everything geared towards the customers satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend him and I shall certainly use him again.

Paul contacted me by phone after I received the quotes., I sent him the details of the property to him by e-mail and the survey was carried out within a few days. The report was received shortly after by e-mail and then later by mail. I was very impressed with the detailed report and thought it was good value for money.

Paul Jackson was great. Very prompt at responding to the request for a quote, he also carried out the survey prior to receiving my payment and delivered the report virtually instantly. The service exceeded all expectations and I would have no hesitation in using him again or recommending him to others.
