As a first-time homebuyer, I've not needed a building survey before. Reallymoving.com made it easy to identify chartered surveyors in the local area- a bonus because we don't currently live in the area. Quotes were received promptly, with follow up emails by the various firms received within 24 hours.
The Building Survey Report I received from Andrew was of a good standard, clearly set out and easy to read. Slight delay in receiving the report (9 working days from inspection survey), however Andrew did keep me updated on the progress of the report and apologised for the delay. I would use this firm again.

I was very impressed with the service that Andrew offered to meet me at the property to talk me through and show me the main points he was going to put in the report. There was no extra charge for this and it really helped in picturing the issues raised once I received the report.
The report itself was excellent and whilst going into considerable detail was well written and easy to understand.
My only slight issue was that it took 10 days to get the report although I do appreciate it was a busy time for Andrew just before Christmas.

We found AJH & Associates very easy to deal with. Approachable and friendly. The opportunity to talk to Andrew after the survey was a very helpful addition to the service.
We were unsure about reallymoving.com initially and did investigate other surveryors prior to making a choice. However, we now realise that that was not necessary.

The survey I requested was carried out within a week and I received the written report back (by email) 7 days later, as promised. The report was easy to read and comprehensive and gave me guidelines going forward. I was very pleased with the service I received.

Andrew was really good, he met me at the house we are buying and walked me through everything he would be reporting on step by step.
His report was ready within a couple of days and gave us all the information we needed.
Very helpful and willing to peform further investigations if we had wanted them.

Ended up choosing AJH for a mix of good review and a decent quote. Jillian was very helpful and reassuring and the process was smooth. The survey was organised a week after the quote and we got the written report a bit more than a week after the survey was done though we already knew the high level feedback over the phone straight after the survey. So 2.5 weeks total - very pleased with the timing and the service.
