Media Coverage: Who cares about housing? Everyone, finds CML
Virtually everyone (96%) believes that the UK has housing problems, according to new research undertaken for the Council of Mortgage Lenders by YouGov, and outlined at the CML's "Future Housing" conference by CML chief economist Bob Pannell...

"While there are undoubtedly issues that need to be addressed within the UK's housing market, there is no reason why the cost of moving should be a significant problem when buying a home. In fact, the cost of moving has fallen by approximately a third in the last 10 years because of increased competition and lower overheads for people who do business online.
"Unlike 10 years ago, it is easy to compare the cost of removals, surveys, EPCs and conveyancing using the Internet."
