Survey came back with negative points
We have recently made an offer on a property which has been accepted, after paying for our survey it came back with some negative points. Unfortunately we can not continue with the purchase unless the vendor agrees to reduce the price. The vendor will not agree to reduce the price unless he receives a copy of the valuation results? is this a good idea or not, as we may have to pull out of the sale if he will not reduce the price, then he will have a copy to show future purchasers at our expense?
You could always show him a copy of the building survey, but not let him take a copy? If not, you’ll have to decide if this will have a good chance of helping you close the sale, but I’d have thought that you don’t have a lot to lose.
