Professor Property Advice

I live with my partner and at the moment the deeds to the house are purely in my partner’s name, can my name be added to the deeds of the property and if so how do we go about it.

Yes, you can, but you may have to pay stamp duty as the tax man would consider it to be a purchase of a share of the property by you from your partner. I'd advise talking to a conveyancing solicitor about this, but you could contact the land registry www.landreg.gov.uk for further advice.
