Professor Property Advice
Many thanks for reply. Let me put some flesh on the bones! I get a monthly update of house sales in my area from "ourproperty" and last month two properties appeared to get sold twice: 35, Burchnall Road, LE3 3TA - Sold for £154,950 on 16/12/2005 35, Burchnall Road, LE3 3TA - Sold for £160,000 on 02/12/2005 62, Darien Way, LE3 3TT - Sold for £143,000 on 03/10/2005 62, Darien Way, LE3 3TT - Sold for £140,000 on 29/09/2005I enquired about this from ""ourproperty"" and the reply came back as ""these have been deleted, they were transfers by exchange before the properties then transferred on to the new owner"". I enquired what that meant and they referred me to the land register on line site. One house appeared to drop £5K in 14 days, the other rise £3K in 4 days! I presume the latest price is the actual selling price? I would very much appreciate the answer to this riddle.
I've just had a look on houseprices.co.uk and seen exactly the same thing. I honestly can't explain it, but will ask around and I can find out any more will let you know. Please let me know if you find out any more.
