Professor Property Advice
We have just agreed a part exchange deal with a major house builder. There has been an agreed planning application and an outline planning application submitted that will entail having 2 chalet bungalows built at the bottoms of our gardens and another agreed application for the building of 10 houses in the cul-de-sac where we live. The estate agents do not feel that it will be a problem but we are worried that when the builder does the legal searches they will pull out of the deal due to these houses being built in the future.
A local search will only cover the area of the property being searched unless the builder requests further searching. That’s impossible to answer without knowing the specifics. Are the chalet bungalows actually in your garden?
