Relisting property at a higher price

I have put my house up for sale and I have accepted an offer from a buyer, the buyer has done his survey and has confirmed the sale. I would now like to remove the property off the market and put it back on sale for a higher price? I had an 10 week contract with my agent and the 10 weeks are now over. Do I have the right to remove the house from the market and put it on back again immediately for a higher price?

Yes you do.
I won’t ask why you waited so long until after your buyer had spent his money doing his building survey. You always had the right to re-address the price issue even before the contract finished. I have no problem with raising the price per se but I do with mucking buyers about.

You should at least approach your existing buyer first and offer him the opportunity of raising his offer. But if he has had his survey done and is dependent on a mortgage offer it may be difficult for him to get a revaluation.
