I am wanting to sell my flat in the UK and the estate agent has advised me that the whole process will grind to a halt if the solicitor cannot contact the freeholder. The freeholder lives overseas and refuses to answer my letters, phone calls, or emails. What can I do in this situation?
I believe that you may need to show that you have made every effort to contact the freeholder. I am not a solicitor perhaps he may advise that you need to apply to a court for an order?
