Should we pay the estate agent
We had our house up for sale with a estate agent last year and in July 06 a couple came to view our house and they were interested in the house and in august 06 we took it off the market, but due to ill health we have contacted the couple again and they are interested in our house to do a px. do we have to pay the first estate agent fees as he introduced the couple to us.
I am afraid that you probably should pay the agent. Whether you have to pay the full fee or perhaps a fee based on the differential would be an interesting point. My suggestion is contact a solicitor if you feel strongly enough about it. If on the other hand you feel slightly shabby about your behaviour then go with that!
