I would highly recommend this company. They don't need to be nearby to be effective - that is a myth. Adam was calm and competent, explained all the complicated processes so that I could understand every step, and was available and happy to talk each time I called. We had a few delays but that was due to the 'other side'. For everything that Adam was responsible for he was very efficient which helped speed up the process. They are a very professional and friendly firm - I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Hillfort law firm had some great reviews and was by far the cheapest on the market from what I could find, with the reviews to match. Although I still believe using them was good value for money, sometimes I think you get what you pay for. My NON-CHAIN purchase took 5 months to complete, throughout which time I was constantly chasing the firm for updates and next steps and having to prompt them. My estate agent was more informative who kept even closer tabs on them. Certain aspects, like agreeing a completion date, my contact at the form told me to ‘sort with the vendor’ and when I was told I would get an email to confirm exchange, this never happened. I was then told I was left a voice mail, which doesn’t seem to have been the case so again I had to chase for confirmation of exchange. The experience for me, as a first time buyer, was long and stressful and every time I called for an update the response I got was very unwelcoming, as if I was just a bother and no one wanted to deal with me. Something to consider when choosing the right company to buy and sell your house.

Conveyancers sounded disinterested most of the time we contacted. Cannot complain about the job done - completed on time and in accordance with original quote. But felt very uninformed. This may have been a simple job for them, but as a customer that hasn't remortgaged before it would have been nice to have things explained to us.

Incredibly poor communication, I had to chase incessantly for responses and updates.

We apologise you feel the communication and updates you have received has not been satisfactory. However we have had problems with the buyers' solicitors providing updates and confirming their position to enable us to provide you with satisfactory updates.
