I sold my house (twice as the first fell through) - and bought another property with Beaumont Legal. Excellent company - everything done on-line so it saved you time travelling to solicitors - could all be done whilst working. Excellent at keeping in touch via phone and e-mail too.

LegalZoom were fantastic, they were easy to content, professional and answered all questions at every stage. Bina was so helpful throughout the entire process and made our move happen within 5 weeks. She went out of our way to make sure our deadlines were met. I would recommend LegalZoom to anyone looking to move house.

This company was very efficient, easy to work with and approachable. Anytime I wanted to ask a random question I would message via a personal portal or even phone direct, responses were always within a couple of hours. On receiving the final bill there were no hidden costs for all the random questions or resubmitted paperwork that I had incorrectly completed. Nicholas Churm, kept me in the loop at every turn and ensured that the process was very smooth and stress free, due to him and his team I would not hesitate to use this company again. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Excellent service. Could have had a little more contact at the start of the process but Laura was really helpful particularly at exchange of contracts.

Poor communication, very slow to get started, constantly having to chase. Don't bother using their online portal, as any update you put in there is ignored for days at a time. You will end up leaving multiple messages in voicemails trying to get things moving along. Over 10 weeks to process a no chain purchase.

We’re sorry to hear that you were initially disappointed with the service provided. We have since spoken to you directly and kept you up to date and the matter has now completed. The first few weeks of a property transaction can often be slower than expected as it can often take a while before we have all the documents from the other side and search results allowing us to then raise enquiries and finalise exchange. We wish you all the best in your new home.

I would urge caution when using this company, having just completed what should have been a reasonably straightforward property purchase, five months(!) after my offer was accepted. Initial experiences were positive. The basic conveyancing work was completed in a reasonably timely manner, and communication was also reasonably timely and helpful. I felt the conveyancing had been thorough, and a few minor issues were dealt with quickly and professionally. However, things rapidly took a turn for the worse. My purchase was bottom of a chain of 3 purchases. There were numerous issues with the purchase at the top of the chain, resulting in several delays to exchange and completion. Yes, these were beyond the control of the company, but communication with me, and with other solicitors in the chain was appalling. I felt that my purchase was not a priority for the company, and that as a result many opportunities to tie up the purchase were lost. Pro-active communication with me was virtually non-existent and I had to hound them by phone throughout the day to get any updates. On numerous occasions I sought categorical assurances that I would be informed of the latest developments before the end of the working day, and on numerous occasions this did not happen - infuriating. On calling up first thing the next day, I would be updated in a very matter-of-fact way, with no apology or recognition of their failure to communicate, and the huge personal inconvenience as a result. Even when everything finally fell into place on the Monday afternoon, exchange and completion did not go through until Wednesday morning with no explanation, leaving me nervously hanging by the phone for over a day. Overall, while my stressful buying experience was by and large due to factors beyond their control, I did not feel in any way that Beaumont Legal 'had my 'back', and I believe their inefficiency and poor communication resulted in the purchase dragging on many weeks longer than it should have. My advice - I believe there are better firms out there.

Thank you for the feedback. As you have noted, we had completed all our legal work and enquiries in May and were ready to set up for completion at that point. This was an extremely frustrating time as the seller then decided not to go in to rented and moved forward with a purchase so we then had to wait for the chain to be ready before we could exchange and complete on your purchase. We have a record of chasing the agents and other solicitors for updates but the information was not always forthcoming and we're sorry that we weren't able to provide you with positive updates during that period. The other party eventually agreed to break the chain and a date for completion was suggested. Following this, we then chased the seller's solicitors again for a number of days until exchange and completion finally went through. We're sorry if you feel that communication could have been improved. We were as desperate for this to get resolved as you were and fully appreciate how stressful these unforeseen delays were.
