Such a chore of a company to deal with. My point of contact didn’t have a direct dial that worked, no proactive communication for over a month to tell me what was happening and a linear process that won’t be deviatated from, which almost caused the sale to be at risk. Instead of giving you an upfront list to work through, you get one set of requirements completed and they give you the next set. Also forced to babysit the firm daily for updates and to force progress. Didn’t expect an almost unprofessional relationship, when paying as much as you do.

The service provided by legalzoom was professional and largely efficient. My case handler, Amy Fretwell, managed to complete my conveyancing in 10 weeks and in-line with the estimate that was initially quoted. The online portal was a helpful tool in terms of keeping track of my progress throughout the conveyancing process although it would have been useful to have had more phone contact to remove some of the 'faceless' quality of dealing with a largely online company.

Generally quite fast especially at the outset, however near the end emails went by for a day or two and when ringing i couldn't get in touch with the solicitor because she was not often at her desk, she would also not always ring me back. However when i spoke to Aysha she was friendly and really very helpful. There were some rather poor oversights, for example the insurance policies were supposed to cover the value of the house but had the value set to £150... i had to tell them that... imagine if i hadn't noticed!! Value for money is only a poor rating because as with all solicitors its costly for very basic things like putting a paragraph of text in a contract.

Absolutely terrible. I employed their devices two months ago and was told the process takes 2-4 weeks. Still not completed, all my emails and phone calls for unanswered. They took a £50 deposit that I've clearly lost and will need to find a different company. Do not waste your time or money with this company!

Purchase with no upwards chain, vacant property. Hired them at the beginning of August, it is now December and despite all documents being completed and the fees and deposit paid in full over a week ago, there has still not been an exchange of contracts. Excuse after excuse. Absoloutely disgusted with the service I've received. Got worse and worse as time went on - have become convinced that they are actually cardboard cut outs rather than humans.

We did have to raise a considerable number of enquiries with the seller’s solicitor and it was frustrating that we had to chase for responses and supporting documents over the course of a month.
