Movers English was so poor they didn't know which boxes went where even tho they were clearly labelled. Bed put back together incorrectly so broke. Wardrobe boxes not provided as promised so husband's shirts and suits have to be dry cleaned and ironed again. Lots of smaller issues but most importantly it is impossible to get a hold of customer services as they never pick up their phone or call back. If you call the sales team they all say "the team are in a meeting today ". Have been sent through a claim form so will be claiming for all damages but no idea how long it will take as CS won't get in touch! Save yourself a headache and do not use them.

The removal team do speak and understand English although a little patience and understanding is required, We have sent a claims form for the damaged bed and clothes and will process this as quickly as possible, customer service are available to be contacted between 10 am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

They upped the price when they arrived at the property despite having been told the details fully about the property in a phone call and emails after receiving the quote.

The Sales Team said they would not have upped the price without good reason.

This company is awful, Bad customer service, Not enough people for the job (only two to pack and two to move) Van to small couldn't fit all our stuff in so we had to leave all our garden furniture and we had to pay another company to collect next day as they refused. WOULD not recommend. Customer service even worse.

The Sales Team said the job was adequately resourced, the customer cancelled the second run because the did not have the back door keys for the delivery address we have advised our client accordingly of these facts

DO NOT USE- THEY ARE CON ARTISTS! We paid £1700 and they refused the move due to poor access- on our original quote request via really moving we asked them to to quote on this basis. Although saying this the job I booked and paid for- 3 People and 2x Luton vans no more than 20 meters from the property, I was able to complete myself so although they said it was an 'impossible job' it wasn't as I hired one Luton van and a non commercial long wheel base van and myself a (5' 3'', 8 stone woman) my husband and my father in law did what I had paid them to do; they said the Luton vans wouldn't go up the drive- but I knew they would as we have previously had deliveries to the property in Luton vans- hence the reason for booking that type of van. They refused to take the vans up the drive and wouldn't move any thing - I did at this point ask for them to just move what they could in the timeframe by parking at the bottom, but again this was refused and their only alternative to us paying £1700 for no removals service at all was for me to pay an additional £700 for 8 men to come back to do the job a week later- which wasn't necessary- I do have video footage of the move we did ourselves that we paid them for as we are reporting them to the ombudsman, as they give the removals industry a very bad name and seeing that they are part of the ombudsman gave us the confidence to book them in the first place. They shouldn't be endorsed by the ombudsman or in fact be allowed to trade. Please save yourself a lot of unnecessary stress and cost and use another reputable company for your removals instead!

Our client lives in the middle of a forest at the top of a hill, our vans could not get up the hill with the walk you would need eight men to move the goods, Our client still owned the property we said we would come back on a different day with the eight men she was okay until due to our busy schedule we said this would be a week away so the customer cancelled the service. In our terms and conditions the original quotation assumed normal unrestricted access to the property with adequate parking for our vehicles.

Was worried about quality as price so much cheaper. Movers were great on the day but communication before hand was not good. eg I asked about wardrobe boxes and was told not needed as could set up a rail in the can. On the day that wasn't possible. Overall experience was good though - they turned up earlier and moved us faster than we expected.

We always try to provide competitive Quotations and the Removal Teams can construct a clothes rail inside the removal vehicle and or supply wardrobe cartons if necessary we are pleased to hear that you thought the overall experience was good.

The packing people were a bit eccentric. Their grasp of English was not great and they packed some stuff they weren't supposed to and left unpacked some that should have been packed (but at least they didn't break anything). The moving people were great; nothing was too much trouble.

We only supply professional packers who do understand and speak English some supervision is required with regards what to pack and not to pack we are pleased to hear you thought the moving people were great

It seems that they subcontracted. The company never informed the mover that there would be a large American style fridge, which I had detailed to them. The movers said that all they were given is the addresses.

Simply Removals UK Ltd have a regular full time trained work force and do not sub - contract. The Removal Team would be supplied with a job sheet detailing the items to be moved, the addresses the customer is to be moved from and to any special equipment required and packing materials.

Movers arrived three hours early and were pushy about getting started. Our time was scheduled around key pick up and when we called the company about what to do they told us to ask the movers to take a break until the scheduled time. They did so, however they remained parked in the driveway right in front of our front windows and came in and out to use the loo. A bit awkward. At the new property they struggled carrying things into the property. We were careful to identify heavy items and not only did they ignore the instructions, but often carried two super heavy boxes at one time, while grunting around saying things are heavy. Our valuables were not treated as valuables. One man carried a very expensive piece of delicate sound equipment (identified as FRAGILE) with one hand while carrying other items with the other hand. The fragile item had to be kept level and had two carrying straps as part of the box so that this could be comfortably done. He instead carried it in by one strap with the item hanging at a 45 degree angle while carrying framed and glassed artwork in the other hand. They ignored the rooms listed on the boxes and dumped everything in the hallway - one of us is tiny and unable to lift heavy things and the other has a serious wrist injury - we called in the help because we needed it and regretted using this company. Unprofessional.

We are sorry to hear you regret using our company. The removal teams would only commence a removal when the customer allows for them to start the move, the removal team would ask the customer if they could park on the drive way and use their loo. The removal teams have undergone manual handling training and carry customers goods professionally and correctly identifying and liaising with the client as to where they should be placed at the delivery address
