Commercial Removals have been part of F A Removals core business since our company was founded and our extensive experience in this field means you can be confident in our ability to complete even the most complex multi-site relocations. At F A Removals, we know that efficiency is paramount to successful commercial moves, to minimise downtown and maintain company productivity. This is why we offer out of hours commercial moves to minimise disruption and maintain your company’s business activities.

Man and Van Hire

Our man and van hire is perfect for those smaller moves, deliveries or clearance jobs. Although this service is more cost-effective than our larger domestic or commercial moves, we will never compromise on our dedication, reliability or service quality.  

Packing Service

F A Removals also offers a range of packing services to add further flexibility to the moving process. Not only can we provide quality packing materials – including specialist crates for delicate items like paintings and chandeliers – but, if necessary, we can provide our trained packing professionals to carefully pack and sort all your belongings. Moreover, our teams can disassemble and reassemble furniture and unpack your belongings once they have reached your new residence. This will help make the moving process even easier.

Paul was friendly on the phone and put me at ease. Things were clearly explained. On the day of the move Paul called to tell me the service was on its way, and by 9am I had Dean, Susana and Cory helping me move. They were professional, patient and helpful. They took the various inevitable hiccups in their stride and, despite leaving 2 hours later than planned (resulting in a £200 addition to the cost), they remained in good spirits throughout. They made what was an extremely stressful day run smoothly (as smooth as a move can be, anyway!).

We had a terrible experience contracting FA Removals moving our belongings in a 4 bed house some 900 yards. In the end it took some 7.5h longer than initially estimated, ending up with an awkward 1.30am demand for payment from two exhausted movers. The amount was 40% more than they had themselves quoted in writing before taking on the job and we felt we had no other options but to pay. It started out promising: They did a survey of our belongings in our house before quoting a price for packing and removal. In the quote they said said that there would be 3 movers packing one day, then moving the next and they would take 2 round trips with a 3.5t vehicle. On the morning when the packing was quoted to start they called and said they could not find movers to do the job at that day. They cited fear of Covid-19 exposure among the movers but ensured us that they would both pack and move the day after. They asked us to give them access to the house at 8.30 instead of 9am as originally planned. I went to the house to let them in at 8.30, but no one was there. At 10.46, more than two hours later than originally requested by them, two movers showed up and began to packing. The one doing the talking said that it would be a long evening, and that it could go on to 9-10pm. They expected the first round trip to arrive at the new house at about 3pm. Well after 6pm they arrived the first time, and they seemed pretty tired at this point. And who could blame them, after having done 3 men's job for 8 hours? They unloaded, and we started to cut corners. Saying that it was okay to put most things in the living room and leave furniture disassembled even though reassembly was included in the service. As the night went on, the second roundtrip arrived at around 11, the one with beds and our son could finally try to go to sleep to get to school the next morning. It turns out that they had not managed to fit everything into two round trips, and there were things still in our old hose. My partner followed them to the house to provide access. At this point they had worked for some 13 hours and seemed pretty close to exhaustion. There was a lot of simple things that was forgotten, but also some pretty significant things. In the end we said that everything was fine as everyone was so tired, got back to our house and unpacked the last things at 1.30am and they proceeded to settle the payment. It seemed at the time that they demanded the extra payment due to the number of hours worked after 6pm, but when talking to Franck on the phone the day after it was apparently because an extra round trip was needed. When I said that they were the ones putting forward the initial quote, he said that the quote was just an estimate. He put great emphasis on the fact that we had cupboards in two rooms that went all the way up to the ceiling and we had some clothes and other items up there. To me it seems like a pretty standard thing to have such cupboards and I certainly was not trying to deceive anyone about the amount of things we had to move. Had I known beforehand that it is their practice to say that the survey is just an estimate and charge for however many roundtrips they end up making instead of charging the agreed upon price for moving the goods surveyed, I would have taken my business elsewhere. We ended up renting a small van the next day to move the things that we had omitted because of the late hour, and spent about half an hour putting back a door that they had removed to move a bed but not put back. Given these experiences, it seems that FA Removals has a pattern of making optimistic estimates with regards to time, number of movers they can provide, and the capacity of their vehicle. When things don’t turn out the way they expect, they simply change what they provide, and charge the customer extra for it.

Someone came out from FA removals to give a complete price for us, he was very professional and wore a face mask. He said they would lend us wardrobe boxes on the day for our clothes. I asked him how the moving day usually went when buying and selling and he explained the they would be packed up by 12:30 as we would need to be out for 1:00. We ended up going with FA partly because of the wardrobe boxes and because the guy who quoted seemed so professional and trustworthy. On the day, the van was late. We had to call at 10 to find out where the van was and were told they had a puncture and went to a tyre shop but there was no sign of any new tyre. Two men rather than 3 turned up. We were selling our flat and buying a house, a very small chain which we had made clear when booking and to the man who came to quote, so had to be out by 1 pm. Once the movers found this out they were not happy and suggested we chase up getting the keys as they didn’t want to be left waiting around (he said “they” keep on to your money for the interest). They then took a break! We were getting more than a bit stressed at this point as they arrived at 10:40 and we only had just over an hour to finish packing, hopefully clean, and get out! Another member of their team arrived and also asked us if we had keys to where we were moving, we explained no that we were in a small chain and that’s now how it works we will hopefully get the keys at 1 pm. He asked us if we had moved house before and became quite aggressive and pissed off with us because we didn’t have the keys and seemed to think we could have done something about this. It really became unpleasant to have them in our house at this point. We had already had to our up with the lateness and we just had to get on with it. Fortunately our buyers was moving from a rented house she she was not waiting on the driveway at they only finished at 1pm and then we had to finish cleaning! We asked if they wanted to have a break as we would need to clean but they didn't want to so partner went to get the keys and explained to them he’d be a few minutes as he would need to find a parking space but would meet them at the house. They were calling him as he was getting back in the car to try to hurry him up! When we got to the house we couldn’t wait for them to leave so just got them to leave most stuff downstairs for us to move ourselves even though boxes all had the rooms written on them!

Very satisfied. Removal men were pleasant and professional. They took good care of our belongings and moved us in the time frame we needed them to. Would highly recommend, and would use again.
