The quick review: Basic moving with no fancy trimming and a style of customer service all their own. Straight there; no hanging about; that’s it: job done! The detail: Whilst charming & an outward packing service that was, on the face of it, good, I was extremely disappointed with everything that happened from the outbound journey. They did not take everything & I had to leave some small household items behind, which I had to replace: in feedback discussion 3 weeks after the move, I was advised that these items could be collected & delivered to me, even though they were now the property of the new owner. On the day, their attitude distinctly changed for the worse once the van was packed; boxes that had been labelled were dropped anywhere; upstairs furniture was left downstairs; I even had to insist most firmly that beds were taken upstairs to the bedrooms or they would have been left downstairs, flat-packed! Yes, the stairs in my new property are narrower & more difficult to maneouver around than in my old property, but that does not excuse their flat refusal to even try to take some furniture upstairs! I was left with a small walkway through each room & a warehouse effect with boxes stacked floor to ceiling. It took 1.5 hours to find the cat's litter & food, his having been in a carrier for 9 hours, & it was not till the following day that I found my most important "day" box, both boxes having been endlessly pointed out as needing to be left in obvious places & both being found in the furthest most corner underneath boxes of books & stacked furniture! Upon unpacking, having paid for their packing service, I discovered boxes of books, looking like the books had just fallen haphazardly from the shelves into the boxes, stacked on top of boxes of china or other delicate items. They had complained that there were too many boxes & tried most strenuously to persuade me to let them take some into storage: well, they packed the boxes &, having unpacked them, myself, I feel they could have used fewer had they packed correctly! A small bar heater was stacked between boxes of books & no longer works, although of minimal value. Doors were left removed from furniture as, indeed, the garden gate in the outbound property had been left unhinged, although I asked for it to be rehung 3 times. I had to subsequently employ another firm to move a piano & some larger furniture from where they had been left & can foresee the need to do that again in the future. Moving is stressful at any time. I do understand that it is a difficult job, but my disappointment was mostly generated by their attitude: the difference in the packing up & the actual moving & unpacking was stark; in the morning, before leaving, I had thought they were the nicest bunch anyone could meet, but I paid for that happiness with subsequent shoddy, unprofessional, 'let's get the job done, lads, & stuff the client!' service that I wouldn't wish on anyone. In my feedback discussion 3 weeks later with the company, apologies were proffered, but they didn't listen, talking across me, so that I had no chance to tell them everything. It really wouldn't have taken much more effort, either on the men's part or during feedback, to keep their first professional attitude going & it might also them also to learn how to pack books correctly & to communicate effectively!

Not the cheapest, but very efficient and friendly. Did a complete survey and asked for lots of detail. Which gave confidence. On the move worked well and knew what they were doing. Friendly and organised. It was the smoothest move I have done. Would recommend.

Extremely disappointed with service, the man in charge on the day was rude to the point of being obnoxious he even threatened to unload the lorry again at one point because we tried to give him advice on how a wardrobe was originally taken upstairs so they could bring it down the same way. We have expensive furniture which has been looked after and is now damaged and scratched or dismantled but when the damage was mentioned at the time we were told "it was already like that" I would not recommend them to anyone and will never use them again. Moving is stressful enough!

It is indeed always stressful when moving and unfortunately everyone, including the customer handles the stress differently. Our company prides itself on the high quality of service we provide. In this job, our removal manager had 16 years of removal experience and had the required expertise and experience to undertake the removal of all goods of all sizes and value, while dealing with a customer who have by their own admission indicated they were under stress with the move. It is this experience that ensures most removals are successful and without incident. Unfortunately, no removal company can guarantee there will be no damage. This is why we are a member of the BAR and have full insurance to cover the costs of any damages caused by our team during the removal process. However, we also cannot accept responsibility for existing damages and in this case believed the goods were indeed damaged prior to the removal. To support this, no complaint was received after the removal and no insurance claim ever received for the damaged goods. If any damage had been caused, both ourselves and our insurance company would process the claim with the utmost integrity and diligence.
