Glossop is a historic town right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. From excavated Roman ruins in beautiful family-friendly parks to rugged walks amongst the Peaks themselves, Glossop is perfect for those that love the outdoors. In fact, Glossop’s setting has become so famous it has become popular with film and TV crews so you might have already seen it for yourself.

But if you prefer your entertainment indoors, Glossop also has a number of great places to eat and shop, including the locally renowned Bulls Head restaurant housed in a traditional 17th century pub.  There is also a growing amateur music and drama scene that shows this town’s independent creative spirit. While the best way to see the town is on foot, it is also only half an hour from the bustling hub of central Manchester by train. Perfect for commuting or even just for days out.

There has never been a better time to move to Glossop as it recently entered into a lottery-funded scheme to further improve local life. Most properties are constructed from the local sandstone and can be very popular on the market. As Glossop is up to 300 metres above sea level and has lots of country roads, make sure you find a quote for one of our professional removals companies that have expert knowledge on the local area.
