HomeBuyer Report
The HomeBuyer Report we undertake is sanctioned by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. This survey type covers the inspection of each element of the property and will identify any major faults with the building. The report will be made available within 5 working days.
You will be informed of any urgent problems that require further, more specialised inspection.
It will also comment on:
- Damage to timbers
- Results of damp testing
- Estimated rebuilding costs for insurance purposes.
The length of time the survey will take depends on the size of the property, and the extent and number of defects found. A 3 bedroom house that is in reasonable condition will usually take 2 hours.
Building Surveys
A Building Survey is a more detailed report on the condition of the property, where all accessible parts of the building will be inspected.
The Building Survey will comment on necessary repair work and the estimated costs of the repairs, and will cover both major and minor defects. This survey includes damp tests, the condition of any damp proofing, damage to timbers, the condition of insulation and drainage, and technical information about the property’s construction.
You will also be recommended any further inspection needed.
