The company was straightforward and quick to do the survey requested, and had the report within a week and a half after we started the process.

Reasonable turnaround and responsive to my enquirers. However, a bit messy on quoting the price, got several emails with different pricing offered. Seems professional on the survey but since this is my first time buying surveyor report, so it’s difficult to judge as no comparison

We had the level 3 survey. The report was long and pointed out fairly obvious issues and seemed to defer more detailed inspections to specialists, which we could have engaged without the need for the survey.

As you will be aware our reports are extremely comprehensive and our surveyors will report upon as much information as required to the scope of the survey instruction. We are also fully aware that we have a variety of clients with varying scopes of knowledge on property details and therefore, regardless of any perceived "obvious issues" that may be identified, our surveyors will still report upon these accordingly to the scope of the survey. As per RICS guidance and the scope of the survey instruction, our surveyors carefully and thoroughly inspect the property, using our best endeavours to see as much of it as is physically accessible. In addition, if our surveyors are concerned about parts of the property that the inspection cannot cover, or there are matters regarding issues that may require specialist assessment, testing (often related to the services within a property) and or further (often intrusive) investigation, then the report will tell you about any such further investigations / testing / checks that are needed. I have had two surveys now with Mason Wright, and can't thank them enough for their help and support. Their reports are professional, and their office staff are excellent at communication (which seems to be rare when dealing with anyone involved with buying / selling houses). I was impressed with my surveyor's technical expertise, but particularly how Graeme was able to explain the detail and context of the building issues he found. I personally believe this makes the survey fee worth every penny!
