White Horse Surveyors Ltd (London)

White Horse Surveyors are an outstanding firm with a great many years’ experience from our fifty surveyors in Surveying and Valuations. From our head office in Chippenham, Wiltshire and our offices in London we provide thorough and reliable Homebuyer Reports and Building Surveys throughout England and Wales. Our London branch covers the vast majority of the capital and as all our surveyors are local to their postcode of operation, you can be sure they have a detailed working knowledge of their local area. What’s more, all our professional Chartered Surveyors are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), meaning you can be confident in the high quality of service they provide.

We, at White Horse Surveyors, have grown to become the UK’s largest Independent Residential Surveying Company. What’s more, we continue to grow and this growth is reflective of the quality of our services and the professionalism of our RICS regulated Chartered Surveyors. It is not just our expansion, however, that highlights the quality of White Horse Surveyors and over the years we have received a wealth of positive customer feedback for all our services. None of this would be possible without our fantastic team of dedicated and professional individuals and our equally dedicated – if somewhat less professional – lovable office dogs.

Our services include:

  • RICS Building Surveys
  • RICS Homebuyer Reports
  • RICS Valuations

Building Surveys

This service is suitable for all residential properties but is particularly recommended if the property in question is old, run down or of an unusual construction. At White Horse Surveyors, all our Building Surveys are customisable and tailored to the specific needs of the client’s property. Our surveyors will detail any defects or damages and will also assess the damp proofing, drainage and insulation of the property. Within 24 hours of the survey, we call all our clients to discuss the findings and provide a brief overview of the key points that will be fully detailed in the written report. This service is consistently praised by our clients who see great benefit in discussing any issues as early as possible. Following the Survey, our surveyors will compile a detailed report of any defects or damages uncovered, including photographs of the areas of concern. The report will take no more than six working days to write and even if no damages are uncovered, will help provide you with peace of mind before moving home.

Homebuyer Report

Although the Homebuyer Report is less detailed than the Building Survey it still assesses both the property’s interior and exterior and provides information regarding the construction and condition of the property. Unlike the RICS Building Survey, moreover, it also includes a Market Valuation. As such, this report is more suited for flats, bungalows and houses of more traditional construction. One of our local Chartered Surveyors will personally assess your property and provide a detailed report outlining necessary repairs, ranked by Condition Ratings. Like our Building Surveys, the surveyor in charge of the Homebuyer Report will call the clients within 24 hours to discuss the findings of the report in brief.  The report will be written within 5 working days and will provide you with the information necessary to purchase property with confidence. Homebuyer Reports are a integral part of the moving process and have often saved our clients’ money as a property’s asking price is often renegotiated if any damages or defects are uncovered.

Really good communication throughout and fast process. I also appreciated that were honest and advised a level 3 survey would not be required as I am buying a flat, so I saved money just getting the level 2.

Very happy with the White Horse Surveyors service. They were very prompt with booking an appointment and I was virtually able to leave them alone and not worry one bit, as everything was handled with my estate agents with clear communication to me. I received a call on the day of the survey from the surveyor themselves with answers to my most pressing questions and a full report 5 days after (as expected. The report was very thorough and incredibly helpful. It was very much good value for money, and I would use them again in the future.

Fast and efficient. Good communication. Managed to get a survey within a reasonable time, given COVID19 situation. The surveyor called me with oral feedback the day of the survey and am waiting for the written report. He was able to already allow me to highlight a couple of issues to be addressed with the vendor.
