Question
I have found a new built bungalow I like, but have been told that all electric points have not been tested? So I am left thinking what should I do to have it checked?
Answer
If you are concerned about the electrics and there is no record of recent testing by a qualified electrician then you should get it tested by one registered with a body such as NICEIC.
The NHBC, who certify the majority of new build properties, require a test certificate signed off by a qualified electrician and this should be available for inspection. If this is not available then you perhaps should consider a survey of the whole house for peace of mind.
