I recently had Barry do a surveyor on my first property purchase, and I must say, he truly exceeded my expectations. His attention to detail was impeccable, and his report was nothing short of exceptional. Not only did Barry's report save us over £25,000, but his thorough examination of our property brought to light several issues that we were unaware of. His recommendations were spot-on, and he provided us with practical solutions to address the problems. This was all incredibly helpful as a first time buyer. 
I called Barry twice after the survey was done to go through a few things. We talked for about 45 minutes each call going through all the questions I had. When you pay for a Survey with Barry, it's not just the survey you're getting, it's the follow-up time that he gives you. Overall, I would highly recommend Barry to anyone in need of a home surveyor. Rightserv is owned by Barry Middleton and I spoke to Barry on the phone to engage in the process where he clearly explained. As a first time buyer, Barry took his time to speak to me on the phone and take me through the process, explained the terminology and as soon as I booked him in he straight away liaised with the estate agent to access the property and even accessed it on New Years Eve when he could as I know some companies would not work that quickly. The 60 page survey report was delivered with in a couple of days and I received a detailed photographic evidence of all the things he noticed (clearly all the things I did not notice when viewing). Barry then took an hour of his own time to walk through he report with me and explain what he saw, the condition, and I actually received a crash course in purchasing a property. I am glad I went with Right serv as they have saved me thousands on fixing a roof and chimney I had no clue about. I received nothing but a friendly and polite service, answered every email and phone call and you do not feel you are part of a cattle market like some cooperate companies. The report was delivered quickly and most importantly the time Barry took out of his own time to speak to me and talk me through the report. If you need a detailed report survey to know what you are getting into then Right Serv is the one.

I’ve used a few surveyors in my time but Barry Middleton at Rightsurv tops the lot. An experienced and knowledgeable surveyor is a must for me. Barry fitted the bill perfectly and inspected the property and reported back within 24 hours, meeting what I thought might be an impossible deadline. From start to finish, Barry Middleton at Rightsurv provided a first class service. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his 68 page report was very thorough. He was also happy to discuss any issues we had concerning the property, both before and after the survey had been carried out. We needed a survey booked ASAP and Rightsurv had the quickest turn around. The report was back the same of the survey which is great. It was super detailed and Anne and Barry were very helpful every step of the way.

We're first time buyers and were a little worried about how this all works. I was given the advice to make sure we had a survey done as it's an old house we are looking to buy. The other piece of advice was to find a good communicator as a surveyor as you need the context that goes with the report itself. Barry called me very soon after I submitted the request and talked me through the process. He explained that he wasn't the cheapest in town but was the most detailed, which is what we were after. The report was sent to me the day of the survey and Barry spent an hour with us to talk us through it and help establish the next steps. We used Rightsurv for our recent survey of a period terraced house with a fairly extensive modern extension - initially we were unsure what level (1/condition report, 2/homebuyer’s report, 3/building survey) of survey to request, but wanted as extensive as we could get. Barry only carries out one type of survey and feeds back in the RICS homebuyer report format, however he spent an entire day at the property and the report was extremely thorough and detailed! He did warn us before, but the report is actually so in-depth that it might worry you a bit, especially if like us you’re a nervous first time buyer, so you read it half a dozen times and then discuss it with Barry over the phone. Our report was thorough and made us really consider and question the property, and provides us with a really excellent record of condition and checklist of maintenance going forward. Barry sent our report to us the same day he carried out the survey, and then spent well over an hour on the phone with us in total discussing, answering questions, and giving recommendations for ways to proceed, including advice on price renegotiations and the order/necessity of remedial work items to secure the integrity of the property going forward. Shout out to Anne as well, who was very efficient organising the survey, and informative and friendly on the phone. Overall, we had a fantastic experience using Rightsurv, would 100% recommend them as money very well spent, and even if we had decided not to proceed with this particular property purchase on the information in the report, would use them to survey any other purchase prospects.

Barry Middleton was an real pleasure to deal with. We was professional and extremely thorough in his survey. As well as turning the report around promptly, he took his time to kindly explain all the issues to me over the phone and remained open for any further questions/support.
