Sure Removals

Sure did an excellent job of both packing and transporting our contents - there was absolutely no damage to any item and they corrrectly estimated times and completed exactly on schedule - two men came to do packing (on a bank holiday Monday at no extra cost) and four men with two vans for the transport the following day. We provided them labels and only one box (of about 60) or piece of furniture was deposited in the wrong room at the other end with everything left tidily placed or stacked. Sure were not the cheapest quote we received but their service was absolutely hassle-free, courteous and professional. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Great people to deal with. Quick replies to queries, clear information given, very professional and friendly. On the day, removal was prompt and efficient, very impressed. Treated the house and our belongings with care and respect.

Unfortunately a mixed bag from these guys. Customer service prior to the move was top notch - the implementation not so great on the day. I picked these guys after a delightful video chat and tour of my property. We carefully went over the move and what needed to happen. I was then contacted a few days before the move to take the rest of the payment and finalise things. All good so far. The problems started on the day of the move. Firstly the van got a flat tyre, not their fault I appreciate, but this meant that they arrived an hour late. Once they got to our house we did a tour, but they seemed confused as they thought that they were going to pack up the house. I had already moved all possessions in boxes to our new house so all that was remaining was the furniture. This seemed to annoy our lead removal guy and he kept remarking that we had far too much to move (despite there being no boxes!) he also seemed unaware of where our new house was, and that it had been agreed that they would do two journeys (our new property was just around the corner). He was then annoyed that he had to take down a bed and wardrobe saying that this wasn’t what we had paid for (we had). Straight away one chest of drawers was damaged in being put on the van and I was told ‘that’s your fault for putting it together badly in the first place - we aren’t putting that back together for you’. The house continued to be emptied but by 9:50 they were on a cigarette break watching YouTube videos on their phones. Later, when it came to our dishwasher and washing machine I was told that I had to disconnect them myself and that they aren’t prepared to take them to the new house due to lack of insurance (something I wish I had known when booking as I wouldn’t have selected this business if that had been known). After some tense negotiation they took both appliances to the new house but would not install or oversee the installation of them (something I was told they would do on the phone) Throughout this I was told that I had ‘far too much furniture’ to move. They tried to refuse to move the garden furniture (indeed they refused to take a swing seat so I had to carry it round to the new house myself) and when it came to the shed items I was told ‘well you could just do this stuff yourself in a few car journeys’. As it was, I ended up doing 6 back and forth journeys with items they didn’t pack, forgot to pack, or refused to pack. When it came to our new house they said they would put items in the rooms we wanted but that they would not move them into place and that furniture would be left in the middle of the room. They did reassemble the bed for us, but other furniture was discarded outside the front of our garage. Later it took me till 11pm to pack and move the items into my garage. At around midday I called the company to discuss timings and was reassured that I had paid for 9 hours and that due to them being late, they would be with me till 5pm helping out. At around 2pm I went back to the house to collect some items they had left behind (clocks on walls etc.) and returned to discover that they had informed my wife that they were done and they had left. A quite surreal experience from start to finish and I am flabbergasted that such an experience has cost be just short of a 1000 quid. I definitely won’t be recommending them to anyone, and we end up feeling let down by the whole experience. If I were able to post photos I would provide them of the damaged drawers and items discarded outside of our house. Such a shame as I read the other reviews here and can’t quite work out why we received such appalling service on the day.

We hired a van to move from Croydon to Richmond on a Saturday with relatively short notice given to Sure Removals. The team, Daniel and Paul, turned up on time and got straight on with the job in hand. All valuable good were handled with care and when we realised we’d left a few items off the list they were happy to find a bit of space for them at no extra cost. The driving and delivery of items went smoothly with things placed in the correct rooms as instructed. Very good service all in all. We went with Sure in the first place because Liam was always quick to pick up the phone - no nonsense quotes - and called us back if not immediately available. Highly recommended.

Stefan and his team were great and very professional and very fast

Professional, fast service. They made sure to help me move on the day they said they would, despite having an unexpected shortage of vehicles on the day.

Efficient and great communication throughout. Could have protected our furniture better (nothing broken but a few scratches).

Service was excellent - company were very obliging around organising times, and came a day before to arrange packing up. The removals team (Valentin and Cosmin) were excellent - asked us exactly what we wanted and were very quick, efficient and careful. They made the whole day go smoothly and we were very happy.

The personnel were all great to deal with, in particular Silviu, Stefan and Paul who did the move, they went over and above
