I have found Woods to be extremely friendly and they responded very quickly to my request for a survey. They provided me with an excellent report. I would use them again.

Woods surveyors I would highly recommend. They had reasonably good availability and did everything for me - it couldnt have been easier to arrange, I paid over the phone with credit card (no surcharge) and faxed over the form so never had to post a thing. The office staff was very friendly and helpful and organised everything very quickly and efficiently. The survey was very friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about - I met the surveyor at the house just after the survey to walk me through the findings which made reading the already very clear report just that bit easier - they have a phone line to call if you have any issues whenever you like and we've since taken advice from the surveyor, free of charge, about one of the findings. Highly recommended!!

Due to oversights on the part of the vendors and the estate agents, Mr Wood had to make 3 attempts before gaining entry to the property, which was very disruptive both to him in business terms and to our own progress in the purchase of the house, so his patience was very much appreciated. The new HomeBuyers report is also much clearer and easier to understand than ones I've had done in previous years. .

Found having a choice of competitive quotes very helpful. Both Julia Ellis and Gary Wood have been very helpful and I appreciated being able to discuss the survey report with Gary at length.

The building survey was thorough although the surveyor could not access some elements of the property mainly these hidden behind furniture, carpet or decoration. More details on the methodology used for property valuation would be appreciated. The surveyor was aware of the purchased price of the property. So I believe his valuation was influenced since the value he gave matches exactly this of the purchased price. Another independent survey evaluated the property significantly under the purchased price.

Since Wood's had given the cheapest estimate of all the ones generated on reallymoving.com, I'd been a little bit anxious that they might miss things or not be very helpful. I couldn't have been more wrong. Everybody I spoke to was really friendly, helpful and professional. The survey we got was really detailed and informative and I loved the fact that I am able to contact them with queries about it and that they never seem to be in a rush or too busy to answer my worries - being a first time buyer I had plenty of concerns about the problems raised in the survey and I really liked being able to speak to an expert about it. I will certainly be recommending them to any of my friends who move house, they are brilliant.

It is probably one of the best surveys I have ever had, and it highlighted problems that I would obviously have encountered later down the line if I had not had the survey. They wwere very helpful throughout, and the survey was carried out within a day or so of me cntacting them. Well worth the money!
