Question

How do I know if I have one where I’m moving to? Do I get charged for a long carry?

Answer

‘Long carry’ is a term that is used when there is an unusually long distance from the back door of the removal vehicle and the doorstep of the property (typically greater than 75 ft / 23 metres). This typically incurs an extra charge from the removal company. If you think that your removal might fall into this category, check when asking for a quote.

They have been very patient with our delayed move. We were impressed with their offer to include disconnection and reconnection of washing machine and dishwasher. That's one less tradesman to arrange for moving day.
