Average number of bedrooms purchased by UK regions

Using statistics from reallymoving user quotes, we have been able to track the average size of properties being bought in the UK housing market, based on the number of bedrooms they have. We can also see this average for the different areas of the UK.

Method

This research was carried out using information entered into the Conveyancing quote form on reallymoving. The data collected is based on the number of bedrooms selected by buyers registering for quotes.

The top graph* indicates the overall trend of average number of bedrooms, using a 4 month rolling average. The bottom graph** is a static average of bedrooms being bought in a given area in the last 365 days. The top graph is dynamic and can be adjusted to reflect a given region by clicking on said region on the bottom graph.
