The reality of the service you receive is nowhere near up to scratch with their pretty snappy PR. Weekly updates? Nope. You have to constantly chase them up to make sure they're working on the case. Not only do you decode their cryptic and boilerplate pdfs, you have to ensure they are actually doing what you think they are! It took us over 3 months to complete on a property with no chain. At one point we spent 3 weeks calling to check what was holding up the process - answer being "the other side no replying to enquiries". I chased up the other side through the EA and eventually through the vendor. Turns out LPL had received the enquiries over a week earlier and (i hope perhaps?) didn't realise? At least on most occasions i got through to someone at LPL. Didn't usually make a difference to whatever issue i had at hand but i guess that's something. Thing is, if i paid for the cheapest solicitor I wouldn't feel so bad. I just feel incredibly misled with all the marketing and awards and the thing is, once they have you stuck in the process, you're trapped and they're getting paid no matter what. I deliberately paid extra to avoid this kind of nonsense. Perhaps all solicitors are the same? Don't believe the PR, roll the dice somewhere else and hope for better days.

Thank you for your feedback. We take comments like these very seriously so appreciate you bringing your case to our attention. Although we were formally instructed by you on the 3rd June we did not receive the contract pack from the other side until the 24th July. I understand these delays were due to them selling under a Power of Attorney, of which there were several Attorneys and therefore the case from their perspective was by no means straightforward. During this 7 week period we were unable to progress the matter due to not having sight of the contracts although we did chase the other side regularly bu telephone and email and kept you updated. . We exchanged contracts on the 9th September - less than 7 weeks later. During this time you received 39 notifications from our online portal, 7 emails and also updates by telephone. Although I appreciate the experience must have been incredibly frustrating, we cannot be held accountable for a 7 week delay wholly caused by the vendors solicitors.

Very friendly and helpful team, we were first time buyers with little understanding, however we felt safe in the hands of LPL. This is an amendment to previous feedback. Conveyancer politely called and explained some misunderstandings. Online system is very useful with the facility to upload documents and track progress.

The company's online system is great for working remotely. The only thing I have had to post so far is the signed contract for completion. LPL are pretty quick to respond to all communications and requests, but they could do with picking up the phone slightly more frequently and informing you when your conveyancer is going on holiday for 2 weeks. Overall I'm pleased with the service I have received so far and any grievances I have are more to do with the UK conveyancing process than the solicitors!

Our sale fell through in the end but LPL provided a great, value for money service. I had direct contact with Fiona and they responded to queries quickly. We will go back to them when we finally do sell.
