He was not proactive at all and required constant chasing. He consistently ignored our requests for progress updates or some kind of indicative timeline. Meanwhile the buyers solicitors were very proactive and were getting quite fed up with our guy not responding that they kept threatening to put the case on hold! He added additional money to the bill before onboarding due to a council loan that needed to be repaid. Then on the day of exchange added another ridiculous inflated surcharge on some nonsense pretext about urgent loan repayment when we had been talking about this and chasing him to get in contact with the council for weeks. All in all we had to pay more than double the original quote. Sending us the bill on the day of exchange with additional costs we never heard until then is completely unprofessional but something we read about in other feedback (sadly, once we were too late into the sale to bother finding another solicitor). Not recommended .

Don’t use them

Communication towards the end was not as good as could be. Early on was great. Also I went with Elite after a phone call as all needed to be done on line as I was out of the UK in SE Asia. This was agreed, but at the last minute I had to provide a "wet" signature. Costly to post back to the UK and many days.

Selling my Mum's house. There was no chain to deal with so it should have been pretty straightforward - and it was! Elite UK didn't try to complicate things but just did what needed to be done, keeping me informed and working promptly. It was less than eight weeks between signing with them and Completion!
