I felt they dealt with us in a really slick and professional manner. We were very happy with the transparency of the process, verbal communication and the quality of the report was brilliant as it was very easy to understand.

When I originally contacted Vospers, there was no urgency because things were progressing very slowly in the rest of the chain. Then all of a sudden, everyone was ready to exchange and I was the one holding everyone up because I was awaiting my survey to be carried out and reported on. Vospers were responsive in my hour of need and their flexibility and understanding was very much appreciated. My only negative is that sometimes, communications weren't as timely as they could have been or as promised, but given the final result I shouldn't gumble!

Great personal service. I'm buying a house built in 1866, so needed a Buildings Survey. Nick and I chatted beforehand and I pointed out several concerns I had and asked him to make sure he looked at them for me. The survey was completed within one week and straight afterwards, my partner and I had a conference call with Nick to go over the results. He was thorough and had clearly spent a good amount of time going over everything and he had addressed all my concerns. This made it very easy to decide that we were happy to continue with the purchase. Thanks Nick!

Quite the most frustrating experience and by far the worst customer service I can ever remember experiencing. I lost count of the number of unanswered emails and non-returned phone calls while I was trying arrange my survey. When I finally managed to book a BUILDINGS survey after numerous fruitless phone calls and emails (and ironically Vosper’s actually did acknowledge this particular instruction by email), they actually conducted a HOMEBUYER survey – but at least I was only charged the lower cost of this. Their invoice stated that my survey would be released upon receipt of payment and that ‘we accept all major cards, please call the office’. However, when I phoned the office to pay the invoice by bank debit card, I was told by the receptionist that she was not authorised to take payment and that she would get someone to call me back. Yep, you guessed – no one ever did. After waiting 2 days for that promised call, I ended up arranging an e-transfer via my bank. What an utter shambles! The good point: they are cheaper than the competition. The bad: Customer service is nothing less than totally shambolic – beyond appalling – if you decide to use them, be prepared to be very, very patient!

No one ever enjoys receiving a review like this – and indeed it goes completely against the flow of reviews we have usually received from general clients directly and all the websites we are present on. In fairness we note from our job log that many return calls to this client remained unanswered and, indeed, a number of emails bounced back too! The client was informed at an early stage that we did not undertake building surveys on purpose built flats although, on checking, it appears our correspondence was not acknowledged. Given the very notable increase in demand for services this year we realised the need to “up our game”. In late July we closed for two weeks in order that we could review all our systems and procedures to ensure an efficient service to all our clients. With additional staff in place and on their way we aim to ensure that the experience outline here is not duplicated.
