ECOHDS Chartered Surveyors

I regret going with ECOHDS for my home buyer survey (Level 2). I was initially planning to go with Gold Crest. They were willing to give Level 3 survey for less than what Mr. K quoted, but K had availability for next day and I was in a hurry to get the survey done. I so much regret that decision. After survey it took more than two weeks to get the report. I wanted the report to include pictures, which I was told could be done, but there were barely few in the report. There were some defects noted in the survey which I wanted more info on, like "chimney stack visible through bathroom cabinet", which I knew couldn't be possible. I sent an email and I never got a reply. Then I called in and after few days and multiple attempts was able to get hold of him. Then to my surprise I was told this is an error and doesn't apply to my property. This made me have a look at the sample report that he sent me earlier before I instructed him. My home buyer report was a copy paste of the sample report, with just some minor changes. So some of the defect noted was not at all relevant to my property. This made me question the whole survey done. I requested for a corrected report without any errors and he told me to mark the errors that I found and sent it to him!! I couldn't believe that I paid for this service. I emailed him a complaint and it was ignored. No reply at all. I am going to file a complaint with RICS and see if I can get a response. Just don't go with ECOHDS. You can’t trust or use the report. So why waste the money.

Khalil got the survey booked in quickly, and was flexible rearranging this due to issues getting access to the property at the last minute. I received the survey back within a week and he has been helpful and responsive.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service received at such a competitive price. Previously, an average quotation received from elsewhere was £600 so the reallymoving.com price was far cheaper anyway but then on top, the service is excellent. Khalil was incredibly and actually went out of his way to spend time helping me understand the report in detail. Great..
