I instructed Kahlil to conduct a Homebuyers Report for a property purchase. Kahlil was friendly and approachable from the offset, and was always easy to get hold of at every stage of the process. I really appreciated that he was able to conduct the survey so quickly, and he turned around the report to meet our deadline. The report was thorough and of high quality. I would thoroughly recommend Khalil for his services, especially given his competitive prices.

We were coming towards the end of our house buying process and someone advised It is important for you to have a structural survey done. After receiving some quotes I chose to go with ecohds surveyors. The initial conversation with Khalil was brilliant and I emphasised over and over on the urgency as this would be the final thing we would have to do In the process, alarm bells should have as even getting hold of him to get a survey date was hard. On survey day he was due to arrive 16:30-17:00 as arranged with the seller. At 17:00 he called to say he would arrive 17:30-18:00. The seller called me as she was waiting to go out as It had gone 18:00 and still he had not arrived. Finally he arrived at 18:30. Once the survey was done I was over it as the seller was fine so I had no reason to be upset with his punctuality. After this the nightmare began, Getting hold of him was very hard work. After literally pleading that I am under pressure to give my solicitors a date, 10 days after the survey he sent a very vague report and when I compared it to the draft he had sent me as an example prior to booking him most of it was copy and paste so the new details was literally a few minutes work. On that day I called and left a voice message to ask if he could provide more details as i'm on a deadline to finalise a date by 5pm that day. After this I just could not take no more as he just would not respond with the information i wanted. I called again and left a voice message to say how disgusted I was with how he had treated us. £500 In cash we paid him as this was his preferred method of payment and for that we got 11 days of stress. Today we paid someone another £586 to come and do another survey which has now delayed the entire process. We plan to do an extension after the purchase which Is why this was so important. I have been In business 20 years and I have never been treated with such disregard, how a single individual has now delayed both a buyer and a seller. Sometimes In life you have to pay to learn a lesson, he was the only one available to do a survey so quick and now I know why. For a business owner to leave another business a negative review feels really horrible but I could not allow this to happen to anyone else.

Thank you for the feedback Mr Hussain. It is sad to receive negative feedback and we have tried to reach out to Mr Hussain who does not wish to respond to resolve his issues. At the start of the process he was provided a sample report and spoke in length about his requirements by phone on a Friday evening we were and still are very busy but were able to accomodate Mr hussain to undertake the survey on the Monday in the evening which was the following working day. We try and accommodate urgent requests and have done this on many occasions by careful diary management. Mr Hussain wished to arrange the timing of the survey rather than let the surveyor arrange the survey directly which caused some confusion on the day. We were clear about our terms of engagement which state that payment should be made before any work is done and we did undertake the survey on the basis that payment would be made straightaway for the survey findings so the drafting of the report could commence. Unfortunately Mr Hussain did not pay the greatly discounted fee until the following Tuesday 8 days after the survey had taken place so no work had commenced on his report. Once payment was made Mr Hussain then started to pressure for his report to be provided urgently. He was advised that reports cannot be rushed but the report would be worked on urgently. We like many practices use some standardised text that is adapted to each property so a report is not a simple cut and paste affair as suggested by Mr Hussain. The report was drafted and sent to him ready to use by the Thursday morning only 2 days after payment had been made. Unfortunately we missed each other on numerous occasions by phone at which point Mr Hussain then became unresponsive to our communications. Clearly Mr Hussain has delayed his own purchase by not communicating with ourselves to address his issues and appointing another surveyor. We have undertaken 1000's of surveys and only had a handful of complaints which we take on board and try to improve on. We remain open to speak to Mr Hussain to resolve his issues if he so wishes.

I was really impressed by how informative, knowledgeable and professional Khalil was. He made the whole process of getting a survey completed so simple and went above and beyond to help me understand the property which was great as a first time buyer. I highly recommend him!
