I had a truly terrible moving experience and deeply regretted using really moving.com. I was inundated with aggressive sales calls and ended up with two random guys based on the South Coast with a clapped out van and no protective covers for furniture. I was charged £150 for packing materials which were ordered on Amazon and arrived after I'd actually moved. Use professionals or don't move would be my advice.

They don’t care about the items

Do not use AnyVan - we only did because our move was short notice right before Christmas and noone else was available, but they just contract the work to other companies, and for our move only told the guys they were moving our furniture - they sent a tiny van and hadn't been told they were moving any of our contents! We ended up having to do almost the entire removal ourselves despite having paid for the full service. When we tried to dispute it we were told that was what we paid for, despite checking a couple of times they were quoting for our contents. Their list they read me over the phone even had listed some boxes of contents that they hadn't passed on to the removal guys, and the guys said this always happens with AnyVan. If you have to go with them I strongly suggest itemising the entire house, right down to small items, and making sure it is all in writing beforehand.
