Stephen Howes sent us two reports from the area which gave us confidence, we then instructed him to carry out our survey. He got into the property quickly and we were very happy with the survey. It was really thorough and the report looks modern and includes lots of photographs. Stephen was even so kind to take a quick call from me afterwards. Lovely guy, great service. Totally recommend.

Stephen gave the dates within a week, Did the survey on time. I was told i would get Survey report in 2 days but only got report after 5 days. Response to email was quicker before i paid money , after i made the payment response was not as quick. Overall satisfied but there is room for improvement in communication speed, survey itself.

The rating and comments by the client are unfair, particularly in light of the extra effort that we went to for him. Firstly, he initially asked for a reduction in the level of our fee which is never a helpful beginning. Secondly, we said we could do the survey on 10 March and he said that it was urgent so we actually moved our diary around in order that we could carry out the survey on 6 March. He then asked if he could accompany us during the survey which is not appropriate but we agreed to meet him at the end of the survey and I then gave him a 20 minute tour of the property pointing out the issues that we had found. He therefore received an in-depth report five minutes after we completed the survey not five days. We aim to try and issue the survey in two days but sometimes that is not possible and we never give a firm assurance of such a timescale. In this case, having met him on site so that he was fully aware of the content of our survey, several other clients who have not had the benefit of such a site meeting were prioritised that week in the issuing of survey reports. On a number of fronts, we went the extra mile for the client and it is deeply disappointing to receive his comments, particularly, as we have never had a rating of 3 in two years. To suggest that our speed of response, when we answered his numerous emails promptly on each occasion, slowed down once we had received payment, is actually rather offensive.
