First Time Buyer's Guide

Reallymoving are proud to present our ultimate First Time Buyer's Guide, with all the information new buyers might need when choosing their first home.

First Time Buyer's Guide

We know that buying your first home can be a daunting task, from conveyancing solicitors to figuring out what kind of survey you need, from choosing a mortgage to organising your removals team. There’s a lot going on and when you start out, you’ll probably have a hundred questions, and that’s completely normal.

But you should also be excited! Buying a property is a big achievement, and you should be able to enjoy the process of deciding where you’re going to live and make sure you have all the information you need.

To that end, we decided to collate all the information we’ve gathered in the last 19 years of reallymoving, to create an ultimate guide for first time buyers. We cover everything from choosing the right account to save your deposit in, to choosing a mortgage, to picking a survey, right up to moving day.
We’ve included tips and tricks from other first time buyers, along with our expert partners, and it’s completely free!
