The company were brilliant. They descended on the house early morning & 4 hours later, everything packed & ready to travel to the new pad. They were efficient, careful, asked questions if they were unsure. A great team. The unloading at the new place was so quick & efficient. They were done by 1430hrs all on the same day!! Nothing was broken or damaged. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Also as we had buyers who were none to sharp, then the removal company managed to squeeze us in with only two weeks notice! ??

The team of five arrived on time were very courteous and worked well together. They worked late to complete my pack and move and reassembly in one day instead of the two quoted which really helped me out.

This review comes from a extremely unsatisfied customer. On initial communications with our contact at Simply Moving I found it frustrating as the phone system he appeared to be using made it very hard to hear him on, even after asking him to repeat what he was saying. Due to a busy moving period the week before Christmas we were with little option to use this firm against our better judgement. The day of the move came and although the three workers were friendly you wouldn't have known they were part of the company as they were in unmarked vans and not wearing any sort of uniform or identification. The whole move was extremely rushed. We were moving to a new build property and the ground around the property was muddy however this does not explain why there was mud on everything we own including the TV, the sofa and even our babies mattress, no care was taken with our property, a mirror was knocked over and broken which they told us about and asked us to alert the office when we paid which we did and were told we would be sent a claim form. After they had left we noticed a further mirror had been broken and other items damaged including the washing machine which became unusable. Also on the day the removal men said they would not be able to get two wardrobes up the stairs and they had to be left in the living room, however when a family member arrived later in the day they were able to help get the wardrobes upstairs. We contacted the company as no claim form was ever received and were told that there wasn't one but we were asked to provided various details about the move, the damage and details of the items for the insurance claim, after doing this we had no response and when we chased for one (months later) we were told we could no longer claim as we did not meet the criteria,I responded for an explanation and got no reply. We are appalled with the lack of customer service and the fact we received no compensation for the damaged items. I am still trying to chase the company now.

Hi David, thank you for your feedback and am sorry to see this has been published. I would like to take this opportunity to reply and to set the record straight in the way you have attempted to discredit my company. Really Moving has stated that they have a policy of publishing feedback even when it can be deemed slanderous and has acknowledged that due to your inaccuracy I ought to take it to the ombudsman to have it removed. I do not have the time nor the inclination to do this so I will just reply and let people make up their own minds. 1. You state that it was a busy time of year and against better judgement you went with us as you had little option - You first enquired with us on the 17th Nov, fully confirmed on the 30th Nov, had a box delivery on the 1st Dec. Is this not enough time to source another company if you felt the need? 2.Our vans were un-marked. - Due to the parking restrictions at your property (on a zebra crossing) we brought two x 3.5t luton vehicles, one is fully light blue and emblazoned with our company logo and contact details, the other admittedly had not yet been sign written and was plain white. 3. Our team did not wear uniforms. - all four of the guys that attended were wearing t-shirts with the same logos you would find on the side of the van, however as it was a wet winters day in December I think our team could be forgiven for wearing jackets over these when the job started. 4. The mud The new build property you moved into did not even have a road at the front, the mud has been described by our guys as "like a swamp" We used sofa covers that had to be industrially cleaned afterwards as we could not send them out on other moves. We are sorry if some items were affected by this mud but we tried everything we could to keep it out of your house and off your property. Damage - We acknowledged that a pine rectangular mirror had fallen over, this was a result of us keeping two guys inside the property with shoes off and two outside to keep the mud out, the mirror had been placed on the doorstep to be passed along to the guys working inside but had blown over in the wind. You attempted to claim for a completely different mirror, a solid oak square mirror from World of Oak,you even sent us a picture of the pine one with broken glass, totally different and 6 times the price. We could not accept an obviously fraudulent claim like this but I did offer to have the mirror glass replaced to make it good as new but you said you had now discarded frame so I couldn't?! The further mirror which you also said was broken, in a box, I offered to reimburse you for this as a gesture of goodwill. David, your wife acknowledged that you yourself had removed the washing machine from underneath the counter by opening the door and lifting it by the rubber seal, we never opened your washer and only Uri Geller would be able to squash the rubber through the outer casing. You even sent us a photo of your hand next to the squashed seal to show us where it was and surprisingly your hand if a perfect fit for the gap in the seal. Once more you cannot expect us to replace something we have nothing to do with. Wardrobes - You were advised by our team that we could attempt to take the wardrobes upstairs for you whole but we felt that as it was a new build property we may scuff the walls, we could dismantle the wardrobes and re-assemble them for you but there would be a charge for this based on the time taken. You said you would take them apart yourselves and put them together upstairs. We have to make a judgement call at the time on these things and let you know if there is a risk of scuffing walls or damaging the item of furniture and you agreed with us. Whilst you try to discredit us I hope that those looking for quotes can see through your email and look at our excellent feedback received from many other happy customers. Regards, Martin Simply Moving

Fantastic service. The company were both professional and friendly right from the initial phone calls all the way through to the guys unloading. They were quick and efficient while still taking care of all of our possessions and nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend them enough. SimplyMoving made our moving day a lot of fun!! Thank you :)

Only brought two small vans instead of a normal sized removal van and charged me for two teams, when waiting £50 per half hour. Also broke a large ornament.
