 At Via Removals & Storage Ltd, we specialise in full house moves. Whether you’re moving to the next street, or the other side of the world, our aim is to make your home move as comfortable and stress free as possible. Established in 2000, we know that everyone’s requirements are different, which is why we always go the extra mile, offering a variety of different services, and are happy to work on short notice.

 
We have offices in Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Nelson, Blackburn, Preston, Bolton, Bury and Oldham. In addition, we cover the whole of the Northwest and Yorkshire regions.

We offer both local and long distance cover, and offer 3.5 tonne and 7.5 tonne vans, as well as ‘man and van’ services. We accept credit cards, bank transfers and cash.

Not Very professional and broke a few things and will not be using in the future

Customer was offered and advised to take our packing service for delicate items such as the glasses that broke but refused. We offered to replace the glasses which cost £35.00 but customer refused and was given £100.00 compensation. We feel this review is unfair as we did our best to ensure the customer was happy and there were no complaints when we left. From Kass at Via Removals

Really good. 3 guys came and helped us move. They were all lovely and worked really hard to get all of our stuff moved.

Great price. Really friendly and hardworking team made our moving day so much easier. Good communication at all points. I asked for any boxes labelled fragile not to be stacked at the bottom but this wasn't adhered to. I think everything survived but it stressed me out. The team arrived 30 minutes late without a call. We didn't mind as we were still packing but not a good start. Overall, I'd recommend for a basic job but not if you have anything precious.

replied by bob sorry to here that please every one note this our fitters knows how to stack on fragile items your boxes were very light so nothing to worry about and you have stated above nothing was damage you had quite a lot fragile items we had to stack like that other wise we will run out space and we helped you with packing free of charge and our driver had made contact you few time but he could not get through to you and we supplied you few boxes free of charge and bubble wrap sorry to say we are disagree with your review thank you very much

They were really polite and friendly and went to a lot of trouble to ensure the move went smoothly. The two removal workers we had were not professionals, however, as several items including some antiques, were bumped against our newly decorated walls and some were lifted without regard to health & safety training. But no items were badly damaged, the move went smoothly enough and at a reasonable cost.

The guys are superb, did a great job loading and unloading the van. Even helped replumb the washing machine at the new property. My issue was that I was given a "fixed price quote" after completing a survey, which I was led to believe was the final price with no hidden costs! This wasn't the case as once the van was loaded and the keys weren't ready to be picked up (which often happens during completion of the move/purchase) I was then informed of an hourly charge of £70 per hour (discounted rate for 2 vans) waiting time!!!! I was told the charges were on the form I signed before they started, however it was made out the form was simply a receipt for the work, and to be honest it would have been too late to challenge at this point as I had to move! What also frustrated me was that I was charged for two vans and 6 labourers, however once I paid, including the extra charge, the first van was unloaded and the guys then left leaving half the guys I paid for to unload the final van.

Hello and please note everybody, We sent 2 crews and 2 vans (as mentioned) to do the job, During the survey you never mentioned a time for the key collection, otherwise we would have arranged your removal at a more flexible time to avoid anything like this problem occurring. Also in the above complaint you mentioned that we gave you the waiting time at a discounted rate, we reduced the waiting charges from £130 (2 vans and 6 guys wages) to £70, that’s almost discounted 50% of what we usually charge, we had to re-arrange jobs, we had a number of angry/upset customers to deal with as this incident not only affected you but it had a huge impact on the day for our company. The question I need to ask you is what more can our company do? You were informed twice about waiting charges, one during the initial survey and the second time on arrival of the crew on the paperwork they gave you originally, it clearly says “making staff wait or taking extra time incurs extra charges”, you also agreed/signed the document with the terms and conditions listed. Due to these points that have been listed we feel as though this review isn’t fair as we only followed procedures. Thanks Management Via Removals and Storage
