Having read this back, this probably sounds like the sort of review that I'm pretty sceptical of when I'm looking through review but there literally is nothing bad to say about this company: We had a HomeBuyers survey done through Able Surveyors. Initially we were quoted a huge amount of money from our mortgage company's preferred surveyors to get this done. After a bit of research we came across Able Surveyors on Really Moving. An issue that we had was it was a Friday night and we wanted the survey to be done on the following Wednesday (to match the day of the mortgage company's valuation survey). From getting the quote on Friday night, we exchanged emails (always got a response within a few hours) over the Saturday, survey was booked in on Monday to be done on the same Wednesday... Report was completed and emailed to us on Friday morning - less than a week between first contact and report. And all of this at half the price we were quoted by the mortgage company's surveyor. Would 100% absolutely recommend this firm to anyone. The vendors noted how professional they were and had the following to say: "The young man who came to do the Home Buyers Report was the most through we have ever seen ... he even went around with a spirit level on the floors, I think he was checking for subsidence. He was here for almost two hours" Report we received back was extremely detailed and gave us all the information we needed to be comfortable with moving forward with our purchase. Provisional sums were also provided for work that was required on the property. It was great to have the report when we returned to the property recently, just to tick through everything that had been spotted. If this purchase falls through, we will certainly be back for the next property!
