Yes unfortunately. I had paid for a 7.5 tonne truck, and on the day of moving the two men turned up with a 3 tonne truck and a transit van. I spoke with the two removal men stating it was not big enough, they spent an hour looking around the house, talking between themselves and nothing actually was loaded up for over an hour and a half. Eventually the boss George turned up with another 3.5 tonne truck after I had had some serious words of guidance on the phone, and in fairness he stayed until the two vans were fully loaded up and unto he had unloaded the first van the other side. The whole move took over 7 hours, and I only live around the corner from the previous house. The two guys worked very hard but in all honesty they were not in my opinion trained to a high enough standard and scuffed some of my wood furniture from the bedroom. The price was very competitive but the company manager failed to phone me the night before to advise me there was a problem with the 7.5 tonne truck they were meant to be brining, in all honesty I think the company were trying to get away without having to hire a second can to cut costs. I would struggle to recommend this company and felt let down by their horrific organisation skills.
From the very first original quote provided to the client we never promised a 7.5 tonne however we did give an option of either a 7.5t lorry or 2 x Luton Vans with 2 members of staff. So as a result we organised 2 x Luton vans. Unfortunately we had an engine problem with one of the Luton vans which we apologised for and immediately took steps to resolve. Therefore to ensure that the client was looked after and not let down on the day I decided to send a 3.5t van and a high roof transit van(size wise more than a half of a Luton van). I chose to do this because the client was moving only couple of streets away and I felt this was entirely suitable to facilitate the move. As we had experienced this issue I was very keen to ensure that the client was happy and so I re-arranged other appointments to ensure that I personally took the van across and I also stayed on site until all house belongings were loaded and until one of the vans was unloaded. I did this to ensure the customer was happy and that they could see we were doing everything to ensure a smooth move. Therefore I was very disappointed to read the comments about cost cutting as that was the farthest thing from my mind. The customer had a lot of large bulky items to move which was very time consuming, including a upright piano, and the reason that we only started to load after one hour was because we had to dismantle a very large table and we always take a little time to ensure that we pack correctly and efficiently the correct items in the most logical order. During the process we also had to disconnect the washing machine and the dishwasher which took additional time. I do feel that the move took the right amount of time, bearing in mind the reasons stated above. As I was present the client actually had 3 members of staff for the majority of the time and at no point they said that anything was damaged to any member of the team on the day. All of our team members are fully trained and very experienced and we have only ever received positive reviews however it was a very hard and difficult move taking in consideration the access(very narrow corridor at both ends) and the size of the items.

Superb! Very pleased with service. They arrived promptly at the time quoted and worked quickly to move us. The lads were helpful and polite and the move went very smoothly. I'd highly recommend George and Manvan Cardiff.

Booked last minute really, very simple over the phone booking and inventory (although they can come to your houze to do this if you wish). Really nice, chatty guys who were on time and efficient, despite the rain. Loaded and unloaded quickly and ensured everything was where we wanted it. Very good value for money. I admit them having no Google reviews initially made me nervous, but read their testimonials and took the plunge. Very glad I did!

George helped us out of a fix - the removal firm we had lined up could not accommodate the completion date we were given last minute. The 2 Rumanian gentlemen who did the move were absolute gents, arrived early at 9:15am and hardly stopped for breath until 8:30pm. Very patient during the time delay (2hours) getting the key for new house. They could not do enough for us. We would have no hesitation in using or recommending Man Van.
