JPR Surveys Ltd.

JPR Surveys is a small practice of Chartered Surveyors. We provide a local, friendly service offering a professional investigation of a property and helpful advice on the most appropriate survey for your needs and during the process.

At JPR Surveys, we aim to provide a service that is of the highest quality and, based on our exceptional feedback from customers, we feel this is something we achieve consistently.

Before you purchase a property it is important to get a survey completed to check the property’s condition. I carry out HomeBuyer Surveys and Building Surveys and aim to turnaround reports within 3-5 days from the day of inspection. Both surveys are visual inspections only and will report on accessible parts of the property – they do not normally include lifting carpets or moving furniture.

The HomeBuyer Report will include a colour-coded rating of aspects of the property to highlight any of concern, focusing on significant matters that need further attention. It is produced to the format set out by the RICS.

Building Surveys are recommended for older buildings of unusual construction, or if you are intending to carry out renovation work. It is a more detailed survey and will include photographs of the property and the specific areas of concern.

Following completion of the survey, I am happy to discuss any queries you may have or to clarify any issues.

If you are unsure of the best survey for your needs, call me and I will be happy to provide advice with no obligation for you to proceed.

I am based in Bramford, Ipswich and cover the majority of IP and CO postcodes.

I have 25 years’ experience of residential buildings including working in a loss adjusting role handling subsidence and other buildings insurance claims.

I am regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, (RICS), and carry the appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance required.

It would be helpful to pay by card, rather than by cheque or bank transfer.

Paul was really helpful and efficient. He organised a visit to the property promptly. He was able to give a brief summary of his findings on the day and then completed his report within a week.

Really good report which detailed issues with photos to backup. The report is really easy to read and has good reference points. Paul provided an impartial view of the property and noted where we should consider items and also noted regulations we should be looking to comply with. This has helped us with our property purchase.

Not professional, failed to point out major work at the rear of the proerty, lied abot thhe roof, he confirmide he checked the roof and what he did is JUST LOOKED FROM THE HATCH, therefore I request a full refund

I tried to call the Client but there was no answer so I replied by e-mail to explain the apparent misunderstanding. It stemmed from the fact that she believed I had said that I had entered the loft. I had in fact carried out my inspection from the loft access location, (as noted in my report), which is perfectly normal practice especially if the loft is unboarded and there are no defects noted. This was explained in my e-mail. I offered to e-mail her photographs of the roof space. There were no defects noted. My response appeared to be ignored and I then received several unreasonable and accusatory e-mails that I considered rude, (if not libelous if they were published!). I am not aware of the alleged 'major work' at the rear of the property. The property I surveyed is a 1st floor flat and the area she appears to be describing was not inspected as it was fenced-off and belonged to a ground floor flat on the opposite side of the building.

Paul did a great job. His communication was excellent and the report arrived on time and was well laid out and easy to read with some recommendations which allowed us to save some money on the already agreed asking price.
