Overall, good and speedy experience. Money was paid in advance, removal lorry arrived on agreed time and they moved quickly, no damage to my items that I can see, took care to cover furniture with blankets. Good communication from the leader who took information from me and passed it onto the rest of the team. All boxes and furniture were placed in the rooms I wanted them in. Overall great service👌

Absolutely terrible experience. Booked for 11am although I wanted them for 8am. The transport manager advised this would be ok as I was not getting my keys to that day. They had a job booked that morning with another customer. I had concerns they would not be able to do both jobs. However the office manager and transport manager re-assured me all would be ok. 11.30am came no removal in sight, no phone call to advise they were running late. I called the office who advised they would not be with me until 2pm. I was not happy! They said it didn’t matter as I didn’t have keys for my new house. However I had to vacate the property for the new owner. I was firm and told the office manager it was irrelevant that I didn’t have keys as I would by the time the van was loaded and it was not my problem that they had double booked. I told them I wanted a team and a van immediately. They said they could not send the van or team I booked as they were on another job, although they advised they were not double booked. I was advised that they could send a smaller van and team. I said that was fine they could make a start and send the other van when they were finished. The team never arrived until much later. The transport manger then said the job was bigger than the price quoted. Although they never came out to assess the job before quoting. I had expressed concern that there may be more boxes than estimated. I also expressed concerns when paying upfront about bad reviews I had seen and I was advised these were fake. The van was loaded and they went back to the other job about after 3pm. They advised they would be back with another van. Meanwhile I was sat on the drive of the old property with the remainder of its contents while the new owners arrived. At 5.40pm I was advised they were forty mins away, an hour and half later still no sign of the team. When I called I was told they never told me 40mins and if I had just done it there way we wouldn’t be in this situation. I was told I should have listened to them. It was nearly 7.30pm before they came back. At this point my husband had gone to make arrangements for our 3 children to stay with grandparents that night as we would not be able to have them sleep in their new home. At this point between phone calls I had to make to the office and I was told they wanted a further £280 . I was also told from the transport manager and office this was all my fault and I should just waited until 2pm I was also accused of being abusive to the office staff and that I had upset them! Never mind that I was distraught on what is one of the most stressful times. Never mind I’m a paying customer who is not getting the services paid for. In addition my husband and I made at least 5 trips each with boxes. Never mind we helped empty the house and fill the new house although we paid Dmg to do the job! I am absolutely disgusted by the no- existence of communication, the disgusting customer service, failure to set realist customer expectations, the threat of not completing the job unless more money was paid and failure to maintain an agreed contract. Despite the total lack of Professionalism for the office and transport manager. The 3 removal men were absolutely fantastic and did not complain once. They were complete gentlemen and extremely professional and worked to the highest standard. I would never recommend DMG Removals to anyone, Infact I would urge people to avoid them. If there is a regulatory body for removal companies I would report them immediately!

Pay a little extra and go with more reliable company. They refused to put my wardrobes together when they delivered and they lost a box of my belongings. Two months later they have finally given me back a fraction of the value of the goods. I should stress that the only reason I managed to get anything back is because I phoned continuously. They never once returned a phone call when they said they would. Very proactive and professional until they get the booking confirmed and paid. As soon as they have your money any customer service goes out the window. Judging by the reviews I’m not the only one who has had this type of experience with them. AVOID!!
