Buying our first house was full of ups and downs. From start to finish Afreen was amazing (as was her assistant, Rosemary)!

Afreen walked us through the process at every step; answering a myriad of questions and bearing with us when we felt overawed at times in the process. She stood her ground many times when we had issues with the vendor and her solicitor and enabled us to get the very best outcome possible.

Afreen is most definitely an asset to the Lambert Pugh team and we're so glad to have been given her to look after our journey from having found a nice house to final completion and being able to make the house our home.

Thanks Afreen and Rosemary!

At the beginning it took them a while to get back to me. But as the sale progressed they
were increasingly efficient and I was very pleased with the outcome.

Disappointed really. Difficult to get hold of, no attention to detail, re-requested information already sent and eventually we almost lost the house from their inefficiency.

Company response: Dear Mr Client, We are sorry to hear that you feel the service you received fell below our usually exceptionally high standards. However we cannot identify anything that jeopardised your purchase. Unfortunately your transaction took slightly longer than we would normally expect due to legal complications that arose during the transaction, and having to fulfill our legal obligations towards your lender.

In our efforts to act in your best interest, we note contact was maintained on a regular basis to keep you updated at all times, despite on occasion when there was nothing new to update you with. We hope you have settled well into your new property.

Kind regards

Lambert Pugh LLP.

As a first time buyer, after seeing the house I wanted and having my offer accepted the next stages threw me off.
Obsessively organised and planned, I wanted to be on top of every detail, particularly given I had a limited budget.
After using ReallyMoving, this Solicitors firm popped up and - realising they were based in Norfolk (where my late grandmother spent most her life and claimed to be the epitome of perfection!!) - I decided to chance it.
From day one, my Solicitor Olivia kick started everything with care and enthusiasm, keeping me informed at every stage but not burdening me with constant contact. In fact, email proved to be more than adequate for the most part.
When the top of my chain slowed down, she kept on the pressure and got things moving ahead in the right direction again.
Not only this, when I was on holiday she worked hard to make further proactive progress.
Olivia has been nothing short of an absolute angel.
I completed after what was at times a very stressful 5-6 months, made all the less so by her hard work and positive outlook.
My grandmother was right - Norfolk doesn't just do good turkeys!

They are ok - they do what you ask .. but they dont keep you in the loop with what they are waiting for or how long something will take.. literally felt like weve just been waiting by the letter box seeing if anything comes through.

Before using any online conveyancer I was quite sceptical, but I use money saving expert website religiously and my brother had also used one for his own home purchase. We selected Lambert Pugh as there price was competitive and previous reviews. I can only say good things about them and Gemma who handled our case. They responded to emails in a timely manner and we had no issues during our home purchase. We are so happy that we are going to use them for our will!

Excellent firm-would highly recommend. Prompt, efficient and friendly. Very good value in comparison to your local high street chain and no need to have a local place for conveyancy stuff anyway as it can all be done via email. Highly recommend this firm.

They were fantastic from start to finish, Tanya was always in touch and was very thorough with everything she did for us, more than we expected by a long long way. I would always use her and recommend her and Lambert Pugh.

Would not recommend them. Must have been our worst dealing with solicitors so far. (we've bought and sold our property before). We've instructed them early May for the purchase of a no-chain property.. We chose not the cheapest quote here but the one the best rated and we've mentioned prior to instruction that we wanted a fast completion. It has been nearly 3m now and contract still not exchanged. The first conveyancer assigned to us left the company, and the second one went on leave for 2 weeks? Communication has been very poor. emails were late in reply most of the time. The only one time we received a phone call from them was when they asked us for the money for exchange last week (all the monies, not just the 10% deposit). Money sent, exchange still not happening yet.

The only thing I have to say is that I felt that unless the buyers and myself were in communication to put pressure on the solicitors, the whole process would have taken a bit longer.

Lambert Pugh acted on our behalf during our first house purchase. Unfortunately the process was not up to the standards we expected with a number of significant mistakes made by solicitors as well as a clear neglect for customer service. Based on our experiences we will not be using their services again.

Since completing we have been approached by Lambert Pugh who have taken our dissatisfaction very seriously and have offered a financial gesture of goodwill alongside an apology. Based on our experiences with their complaints process and the speed of responses etc our opinions of them has been raised - however we still shan't be employing their services again.

As they never answer the phone (it always goes to voicemail), completion day was nearly a disaster because of this company. When they "forgot" (their phrase) to transfer the money for completion, no one could get hold of my solicitor. 4 voicemails later (3 from the seller's solicitor and 1 from me), I managed to leave a voicemail for her boss, and finally the money was transferred. But this was at 3pm, after many agonising hours for the sellers who didn't know whether the transaction was going to complete or what was happening. Thankfully the chain was only 3 long, otherwise there is no way at this late hour that everything could have completed on the agreed day.
